Hey guys had postponed my purchase earlier and this is the rig I have decided upon for approx 40k,my main usage will be photoshop, dreamweaver, sound forge, Ableton, browsing & downloading.Very little movie watching and no gaming at all.Not thinking of a Intel system. Please provide me with your suggestions about the following config.
P.S-Feel free to provide alternatives but please keep it in the same budget:bleh:

1.Athlon II X4 620
2.Gigabyte 785GMT-UD2H
3.Corsair vX 450
4.Samsung 2233sw plus
5.CM 310 CABINET
6.Seagate 500GB 7200.12 SATA
7.DVD Writer
8.Corsair DDR3 2GB 1333
9.Cordless Desktop S520
10.Sapphire HD 4850 512MB DDR-III

Get a RAM with tight timings if you get 1333. Why do you need a 4850, if you are never going to play any game? Get 9600GT or GT240 or 4670, whichever is cheaper.

Ill certainly be happy getting a cheaper graphic card,I think ill get a sapphire 4670.
Could you provide me with a link to which ram should I purchase as I dont know much about timings and stuff.

Corsair vX 450 is not available in hyderabad, can u place suggest me a place where i can get that in hyd........the prices at CTC are high when compared to what i have seen on this site.......

Go with Core i3 config.
Incase of photoshop and audio editing and stuff having 4 physical cores is better than 2cores, 2HT na :S Then how is the i-5 config better suited to his needs than a AthlonII X4:huh:

As to Athlon II X4 620 , its processor subsystem, memory subsystem, processor compute, video encode, 3D render these respects performance is very good, not only can beat Core i3 530, and leading edge is also relatively clear. it can be seen, Core i3 530 dual core and four-thread design even with higher frequencies, there still has a wide gap between quad-core processors . However, Core i3 530 also has its advantages, with larger cache sizes and higher frequencies, in file compression and most of the game test its performance higher than Athlon II X4 620.

On a multi-point of view, we should say Athlon II X4 620 performance higher than Core i3 530.

Thanks Naveen, Youve given me a stronger reason to go for the Amd.I am not going to game at all, the multimedia performance is better inn the AMd so I do not have a reason to go for the Intel..
