Sorry its not necessary for me to go with the first person who comes along with an offer. There’s nothing rude with going with the highest payer. I don’t owe you these hard drives.

And I have responded to most messages received. The forum does not allow rapid responses to DM nor am I a robot who has the capacity to do that rapidly.

You are not entitled to these hard drives to write such a message.

comes along with an offer.

Why not post in the other section where you can ask buyers to put in offers ?

This is not bidding. I quoted a price. People counter offered. I can choose who to sell it too.
Last time I checked bidding is not allowed or any such practice in this section. @puns

This is not bidding. Price negotiation is part of any sale.

Offering a higher pricing is an open bribe and you falling for it is greed and unfair!
You should stick to the price you offer/ quote in the sale thread. Else this thread purpose zero purpose and a sheer wastage of time for genuine members who are waiting for the quoted price.
Or you should start a bidding/auctioning thread instead with the consent of mods if thats allowed so you get the highest bidder.

You are confusing things and I was also not clear.

No one has offered a higher price than my quoted price and neither have I asked for one. Some people offered a lower price than my quoted price since I said price negotiable. Other people agreed at my quoted price. So I'm selling to those who are giving the highest price (which is the quoted price). There is no bidding. The highest offer among all offers is being chosen with max cap of my quoted price.

I quoted 1700. Some people said 1500, some 1600, some said 1700 + shipping. I am selling to the last group since that's in my interest. I have not exceeded my quoted price. There is no unfairness involved. Just because X messaged first does not entitle them to a purchase.

There is no bidding. I stated price negotiable. That is NOT bidding. Mods are more than welcome to go through my DMs and see what has happened.

Two hard drives have been sold to @xav07 for 3400 + shipping.
He paid my quoted price. Shipping details awaited.

@mods @puns please clean up the thread. People have gone on a wild goose chase regarding whats happening without knowing the full picture. All because I did not respond to DMs for 1 day and "price negotiable" being seen as "bidding."

Thanks for clarification, still you could communicate better in IM as well. When someone say "Share payment details" usually means he is okay with your quoted price. Giving you a benefit of doubt since there is minor difference between "quoted price" vs "offered higher prices".

@inapis this. This lead to the confusion.
Sorry for the miscommunication. Whenever I am selling things I almost always receive a counter offer regardless of what, where or how I am selling. So that's just my default language. I'll keep this in mind in the future.
