There are no longer any issues with ATI gl drivers. In fact its NV drivers that have issues if you use GL2.0. Messed up shader compiler .

yep!.. the 7600GT is much better than the 7600GS and the GS supports Ultra Shadower II and uses a 90nm design

^^ :S :S :S Dude what the hell are you talking about. Both the GS and the GT are the same chip except for different clocks so they cant have different features. GT is much better than the GS simple.

The 7600GS is a low-cost solution but if money is not a constraint then the GT is much better

imo 7600GT has entered the category of lower mainstream-mainstream while 256mb 7900GT/ 256mb X1800XT are extreme mainstream and 7800GT and X1800XL are mainstream.
anything above these are high end.

any time 7600GT is a better choice provided there is not budget constraint. It will cost u around 12500/- (Leadtek). 7600GS comes with a DDR2 and the punch is missing cause it lacks on the GPU/Memory clock. Its far too low compared to the GT. I think in the mid range section the 7600GT is a very good invention by nvidia. 7600GS is available for 7000/- all only for techenclave members
