Hi,
I am building a conroe rig and I would like to buy a new case for around 5K. Be advised that this price is to be just for the cabinet and not inclusive of a psu, which I have one of. Here's what I am looking for in my new cabinet:

- 1x 120mm rear exhaust
- 1x 120mm side intake OR 2x 80mm side intake
- 1x Xmm front intake (X>=80)
- 1x top vent/fan
- Atleast 4x HDD... tray thingy
- Front panel USB+Audio
- *Plenty of space (where plenty is > Zebronic Elegance and <= CM Stacker)
- Transparent side windoe (optional)

* - Main reason for upgrade

So far Peace, Antibiotic, Jamaica and Amazan (with 250mm side fan!) from Zebronics look good. Will the cheiftec cases be suitable/affordable for me?

Yeah get the chieftec Cabinets, they seem to be good. You can get few of the model in Delta Peripherals in ritchie.

How about the other brands like cooler master and antec? Anything good there for 5K?

nah everthing u around 5k in those brands will be small & have less space than chieftec. get the chieftec u wont be disappointed.

Right now it's either only BH-02-bbb (3.5K)

or

GX-01 or Praetorian (5.5K)

These prices are from this forum and I've not been to ritchie street to get the real price. Will post here when I do.

After a long time, I am finally ready to buy the BH-02. Unfortunately, Chieftec LBX-02 was not available or I wud've gone for that. Here are some cabbies that are available at delta.

Chieftec:

BH-02 = 3.5k

BG-01 = 3k

GX-01 = 5.5k

MG-01 = 3k

Antec:

TX-1088 = 4.5k

^I too wanted to go for the gx-01 but it is not as deep as the BH-02. And with a 8800gtx, I want as much depth as I can get :D

PS: Where do I get a praetorian in chennai?

^^Yeh..i saw the Gx01 first hand at Plug n play, lammy..it isnt as deep as the bh02, but is definitely much more taller than it..i personally do not like its looks much...it simply tries to copy that alienware look..the bh02 looks much more contemporary..and for its price, its a steal...

Got the Chieftec CH-01B here in Hyd for 4.7k . Suits your requirements perfectly. PLenty of space, 5 case fans ( 1x120, 2x90, 2x80 ) , etc etc.

Welcome to Chieftec -New Chassis Announced

BTW. there doesnt seem to be much of a difference (or none? ,save the front mesh panel) between the CH-01 and BH-02, so it would be wiser to get a BH-02.

Site Says "Optional 1 X 120 mm + 4 x 90 mm fans.",not like wat u said ( 1x120, 2x90, 2x80 ) , etc etc.

@ topic: BH-02 is the way out,or LBX 01-B-B-B like the one i have here

Worth Every Buck U pay,Aspects to Watch out For:

* Hdd Mounting Plastic Plates is bad
* Enough Fan Mounting Screws (thats my case) :ashamed:

Rest all is Fine & true Value for Money for a Real heavy Case :bleh:

:ohyeah: Bought the BH-02 B-B-B just now for Rs.3,365/- :ohyeah:
It came with 1x120mm, 2x92mm fans. I bought a couple of 92mm fans (foxconn 3 pin tail, 200 bucks each). I have never in my life handled >80mm fans (except ceiling fans :P) so it all looks big to me

I also bought a p5n32-e sli (non plus :@ ) and a seagate 300GB 7200.10 drive.
I was also supposed to get the following 7200.10 hdds from delta:
1x80GB
2x160GB (raid0)
1x300GB

but the shop walla got me some 7900.9s and a couple of SV35 hdds (he said it was superior :S ) instead. I told him to shove them (in not so many words) and am planning to buy them elsewhere.

So...yeah, I got the cabinet, thanks guys.
