Adani group, an Evil corp?

Would really like to see companies like Adani to thrive not just in India, but all over the world.
Not just Adani, all projects in India and all over world going to one or two companies creates lot of unperceived issues.
There should be lot of other companies getting similar support, otherwise this will create giant white elephants which are too big to fail.

Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep. (Abdul Kalam A. P. J.)

Adani exactly did what other Industries did in past, some keep see in sleeping .. now they all are feeling like .. Wo Le Gaya Hum Rehe Gaye

Adani keep Mumbai & Suburb Area power up 24/7x365 at lower rate than others.

From what i remember, Mumbai always has had decent power. So also from tata and reliance jr ( which Adani bought i think).
Mumbai & Suburbs

BSES
to BEST to Reliance/TATA to Adani/TATA (Tata Power still co-exist with Adani Electricity in Mumbai)

NATORIOUS labor union first swiftly managed by by Reliance to privatized electric power distribution in Mumbai along with Capacity/Men Power & Professionalism in Work.

Now Adani Electricity, if dig any road for electricity works, they themselves on priority basis level road as soon as finished the work.

Sorry to burst your bubble.. But Mumbai & suburbs have the most (or one of the most) expensive power rates in the entire country.
Please compare rates against any other comparable city and you will realize its practically double.. per unit charges in Mumbai are amongst the highest prices globally barring Nordic countries and few other remote regions

A 1000 unit home consumption in Mumbai results in a bill of almost 20K as against 10K in a Chennai (equally reliable power supply) or Delhi (almost similar level of reliability, especially in South and central )

sorry to hurt you belief, there is separate thread where I posted latest electricity bill images too... please search here on TE

Also do not compare with STATES who offer free electricity till 100-300 units and latter, just to attract vote bank, keep bill low at the loss to tax payers of that particular states and also check that power supplier/states financial condition due to such freebies ...

there you are .... in Mumbai south-east-west-north etc. etc. power supply is really good. Don't count illegal areas ... that have different story

Sorry, its not a belief.. have either own or family houses in diff parts of the country.
With an avg consumption of between 800-1000 units a month.
And These are payments I personally make ..

The images posted by @TEUser2K1 corroborates this fact.
Although dont believe everything you see in infographics..
The actual bill in Maharastra for 900 units is closer to 17K as against 9063 mentioned here

Also, Dont just look at the base rates.. There are various surcharges that get added and the net bill is what eventually matters
It's also very easy to self compute if you want exact charges - just go to a 3-4 diff state DISCOMs site ...Most have an exact calculator built in

I dont know about rates, and obviously i would be happier with lower rates and more competition.
But i certainly would pay extra to get reliable and clean power. We have very little downtime and no voltage issues.
One of the few things i like here.

How both of you can post actual bill from those states. Propaganda images/news are keep rounding around time of elections in India.. so hard to believe such images.

We here are talking about Adani and you people in blind run to blame adani, post all other Electricity Suppliers bills/data too ...

There are 4-5 or even more electricity supplier alone in Maharashtra (Adani, Tata, Torrent, BSES, Mahavitran and may be more)

True .
I think the primary reason for that is good design and decent maintenance that has been true for the Mumbai grid for a long time.
Chennai was similar again. Well maintained grid and very reliable power...but the prices there are less than half of Mumbai

Electricity Pricing in Maharastra overall, Mumbai included makes me feel the hit though to the extent that I went solar in my Pune house this year.
We do consume more than the average household (about 1000 units in summer/ 800 in Winters) but for the same consumption patterns, the bill here is literally 2X as against elsewhere.

Karnataka is another place with terrible Electricity rate.. marginally lower than here but much higher than the average in other states though

@Emperor
Have nothing pro or against Adani, rather would like to see more like from different regions of India, without them having to pay huge burden of interest payments.
Because I don't care about who runs the business, but customers should only be paying optimum bill amounts not amount for business owner to own entire country.
Doesn't think link give details you are looking for:

Oh well, all's well here alright ...

PS: Not exactly Adani but you should get the drift
