The busiest trade route in the world is Singapore-Colombo-Suez shipping route. As part of Modi’s strategic vision, India is planning ports within 10 nautical miles along this route. Great Nicobar-Sri Lanka-Vizinzgam-Chabahar-Suez Economic Zone-Haifa. This gives great leverage to India. Adani as part of India’s strategic vision is the player in all these projects. Fortunately or unfortunately India has no other competent player for taking up these long gestation infra projects other than Adani.

So that is the bigger picture here. Getting at the govt through key business people is an old game.

Of course, he'll bounce back and take whatever legal recourse he has available to expose the agenda of these hidden bergs

11 Fundamentals

1) The Hindenberg report solely makes speculative allusions on the basis of stock price evaluation.

2) There is no evidence of wrongdoing published in the Hindenberg report other than assessments

3) Hindenberg is making a lot of money from the fall in Adani shares

4) India should focus on SEBI & RBI doing their jobs, not short sellers who profit from such ambushes

5) We can no longer gush & go gaga over Elon, Gates & Bezos and be willing to disown our own without evidence

6) We need large enterprises that have the capacity to purchase large strategically important assets internationally.

7) There are cabals that exist that manipulate stocks and exchanges, they also need equal investigation.

8) Not everyone in the globe, even friends are going to be happy with India's economic rise.

9) If there is no wrongdoing found, we would have damaged a major Indian conglomerate on the basis of a private US Think tank report.

10) We need to get out of the mindset that the BBC, NYT, Hindenberg et al. are more credible that our agencies and sources

11) Indian politics cannot be based on either naivete or complicity on the basis of foreign reports

Cyril Shroff's law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) is also the main lawyer for Adani group. It was CAM who were advising them on the recent failed FPO, and also hired to potentially take action against Hindenburg.

Here is a Hypothesis:
Let’s for a second assume that the report is all hogwash/ conspiracy.
The books, shareholding and transactions are indeed all clean with no wrongdoing involved.

If the hypothesis is true, the current share price of Adani Enterprises wouId make it an investment opportunity of a lifetime!
If I were fully convinced of the assumption above, I (or any other sane person) would be looking at remortgaging my house and leverage all possible collateral for buying as much as I possibly could.
The returns within weeks, or maybe a few months alone would yield enough for me to take an early retirement and chill out for the rest of my days on a yacht in the Bahamas or maybe Andaman.

If I was partially convinced, at the very least I would be plonking all my free cash.

So I just have one question for those who seem to be so convinced of the assumption above - Have you actually put your money where your mouth is?
