Hi, I am looking to buy a 22" LCD monitor to connect to my 3 year old dell laptop, any suggestions ? my questions are -

1. Is this a good idea to use laptop + 22"screen setup ? I am sure my laptop video card can support 1 large screen even though it is 3 years old
2. Which model should I go for ? 22" or even bigger, considering I will be working on it 12+ hours a day

Regards

Anything is good. It'll be like working on a PC, so choose a monitor like you would choose a PC monitor. However if the PC is very old and you connect a high resolution monitor you will notice mouse lag even on the desktop and the browser will lag while scrolling on pages with lots of images etc. Tell us what GPU the laptop has.

I have a Dell UltraSharp U2311H for sale in Chennai which is a couple of months old. It has VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort connectors.

any more suggestions ? I am just trying to figure it out how will the experience be if I connect my laptop with the 22" screen and how should i use it ?
