Yeah the Mask has a good reputation as a seller but I would prefer a local dealer.

I visited Croma over the weekend. The sales rep showed me three models in the ultraprotable category. Lennovo Y 300 for 35,000 , the Compaq B1214 for 47,900 and
Acer 2920 for 44,990.

The Y300 has a core duo processor and the others have core 2 duo. Somehow the Y300 was lighter than the rest even though it had a 13.3 screen (the others are a 12.1)

It was 32 when I visited, the Y300 with a 13.1 inch screen. I asked them about international warranty and whether the price included taxes and they told me the displayed price of 32000 was all inclusive. You better ask them about that, also it's a 945 chipset, not a 965 and ram is only 512mb, but that's not a problem, ram is dirt cheap and upgrading to 2 gb will be cheap and simple. Since your wife doesn't need it for intensive use, I say the Y300 because its small and light. The core duo core 2 duo will not make much of a difference in everyday use. but its only worth it if its cheap.

Hi,

Finally I went and bought the Compaq B1214TU. Came with a carrying case - oversized however (its for a 15 inch laptop)
