Seriously? Lol cant believe at some of the comments made here etc...

@aces..tell me though i beleive that robo woud have mated this board with good PSU then chances of board burning due bad quality PSU is ruled out. Also the claims made by gigabyte regarding VRM's,capactiors are false..:S

neways members here are quite experienced to comment...i meant paying a heavy amt for a feature rich board&eventually board is kaput..

i didnt get any reply saying no warranty yet :p accel frontline guy said he will try his best about it , he was not sure though gigabyte will rma or not , asked me to forward mail from giga to him . now he will contact me after talking to gigabyte . will try taking it to other distri also to see what they say .

No company is gonna you warranty for conditions other then standard operating conditions, overclocking and overvolting is certainly not standard working condition, and Gigabyte has no obligation to honor the warranty. Thats not to say it wont, but in case if it doesn't there is certainly nothing you can do about it.

many said it before and i will say it again.

Seems like something shorted the mobo and in the pwm area mostly. :(

All the best Robo. :)

To those who "demand" burn warranty-

I know many who have had bad cases, improperly fitted stand-offs, etc and burnt their mobos due to shorting.

There are others who use third party coolers and promptly peel off the insulating layer from the back-plate and throw it away. :O :|

(how the eff can anyone allow metallic stuff to contact the mobo and remove and throw away the plastic layer thinking it's just some plastic peel-off sticker for cosmetic reasons. :S

And some have had disaster at first boot and some have repeated the same many times just coz they were lucky and didn't fry anything. :|))

Such geniuses deserve (unfortunately i have to say yes) burnt mobos and no rma. :(

There is and should be no warranty for ignorance/callousness. :|

If not sure of what is to be done and though most wouldn't admit to be lacking basic logic or common sense but many do, atleast read the instruction manual and go through some product reviews, etc before tackling something.

Even the so-called "computer engineers"( assemblers) are no good many-a-times)

aww....damm! bad luck man... i think warranty claiming would be difficult, you can try one thing which my friend did to get his gcard rmaed when it was burnt...he cleaned all the dark areas with alcohol and no one could tell it was burnt and bravo! he got a new card....

EDIT: MasterBrain are you sure?

You put alcohol and start and it's gonna go boooom bhaaam bhaaash!

Try getting it RMA'ed. Since you never overclocked it, so it isn't your fault I suppose. Give it a try, the shopkeeper will surely help you out with this. Good luck!

today accel frontline asked me to give them mobo tomorrow , he said he has to send it to bangalore then they will decide about RMA :S

its showing RMA accepted and they shipped replacement back here

also showing Defective part and replacement part model , serial nos .

the replacement serial no is different from defective one also :)

called up local service center branch manager , told him site showing this and he said it means they are sending replaced motherboard :D

Good for Gigabyte that they accepted RMA and, of course, great for you.

TE loves the companies that make extra effort to keep their customers happy. :)
