Airtel starts 3G in Delhi/NCR

One question , I have a 2g 2GB 98 bux plan already, if i subscribe to 3G by using 121 would i still get 3G speeds and my data Quota of 2gb or will i be charged 30p/20kb ?

If u subscribe to 3G ur old 2g Plan will be deactivated and u will b charged at 30p/20kb.
 
^ As of now I guess most operators are in the testing phase and normal 2G plans seem to work on 3G as well. I can confirm the same for Vodafone and Airtel in Chennai so I guess it must be the same in other areas as well.
 
After 1.25GB, VBC of 1p/100KB upto a max shield (amount) of Rs 2000. Post hitting the shield value, enjoy free unlimited browsing at 20Kbps speed, validity 30 days.

you can continue using data absolutely

free, though at a reduced speed of 20Kbps.

may be it's faster than dial up
 
Activated Airtel 3G yesterday. took the 2Gb for 750 bucks plan.
Did a speed test in my HD7 (thru a app) and speeds were like 220-250kBps.

Rs. 750 for 2GB, no thanks, I am happy with 2G till the prices of 3G drops.

I'm gonna test 3G speed using the Rs. 11 10MB plan

There's a Rs. 750 2GB plan, which is far better than Voda's plan.

I'll check the speed soon.

This plan is very good. 1.25GB of 3G, then unlimited EDGE 2G ...

Take Rs. 98 for 2GB, you are getting 1.25GB for Rs. 577. WHich is a great launch plan. Expecting 2GB plans to settle around Rs. 500 mark soon.

no point wasting money for such crap plans as 2gb is nothing with 3g speeds and someone use youtube means 750 for 1 days thats all
 
Has the 98 rupees 2gb plan on 2g been discontinued on postpaid? Someone was telling me they now charge Rs 200 for the 2gb plan on 2G. Anyone knows?
 
I kno, in my bill plan also, it shows as rental of Rs 98. But I think they have increased the price for new rental.
 
See when they launched 3G services, they allowed existing users to try the service but when they declared the tariff plans which means they will be charging you for the default 3G tariff plan(of course they wouldnt inform you, and you wont know unless you are a prepaid customer or check your unbilled amount regularly). which means the 98 plan would be useless and they will charge you for every kb of data downloaded/uploaded. So those who with Rs 98/2GB plans should switch back to 2G network or else get ready to pay. Ofcourse the company would not warn you.

i tested just for sake of testing as plans are crap so will not use further but while testing speed by always above 2mbps in Gurgaon
 
Airtel 3G is now live in Mumbai as well, just got it activated. Got download speed of around 2.5 Mbps with 1 bar on the Mobile Partner.
