airtel suddenly uncapped??

for the past hour, im getting like 50KB+ download speed on my 256k connection :ohyeah: :S is it only me, or is everyone on airtel getting the same speeds??
 
Airtel is slowely uncapping people with 256 KBps unlinited plan to 512KBps... My friend is already enjoying it from past month or so... But its totally random...

So its happening everywhere! Yup, my download manager is going 40kBps+!

But not with Bittorrent...yet.
 
hmm lets see this is getting interesting. I was getting 70+ on bsnl dataone done day, but it was due to bsnl ppl upgrading their servers. Now what are airtel ppl doing?
 
Well seems like quite a few ppl r gettin the 512 kbps speed on 256 kbps package... even my friend has been getting such speeds for past 3-4 days. Enjoy as long as it lasts :ohyeah: n btw few days back my sify too became uncapped for few hours..... i was getting a whopping 1.5 mbps :clap: .. but alas with 150 mb a day limit it was hardly worth it :( ...... i downloaded 200 mb in less than 40 mins. :D
 
Yep. Airtel's been sending out letters to people on their 128K plans informing them that they've been upgraded to the 256K plans. This is in view of the change in the tariff plans. I'm assuming the same is true for users of the 256K plan.
 
More salt on my wounds now... I am after Airtel to give me a connection at my place but damm people say they will be coming in my sector in a copule of months time...
 
Yeah, Airtel apparently has only 30% utilisation, so they are doubling all speeds.

And they plan to offer a 1mbps for 2500 a month soon I hear.
 
WTF....

there is like adding insult to my injury, WHy of all places hyderabad is not available, cant those Airtel fuggers see any buisness oppurtunity here? wtf man, am so god damn angry :@ :@ :@

Guys I want to know airtel in Tamil Nadu circle is using PPPoE or PPPoA?
 
its the latter mate, am dying (yea yea :@ :@ ) for a good ISP, ISPs here are hopeless, there is on Iqara that is decent but it costs a fortune :(
 
I used to hear that hyd had very good ISPs... cheap, 800 bux for 256kbps unlimited .. who told me that back in 2004 (early)... Funky? IceFusion? Someone else on TA?
 
that was i think Fountainhead or someone, or some guy, sheesh i forgot his ID.. but that was for him alone, rest of us are bandwith starved :(
