They add so many charges when you try to checkout. Plus the ratings aren't that great.

You can check some experiences here. It is legit but not particularly reliable.

I had checked some items once and there were additional charges applied prior to checkout. The prices for most items even including custom duties was not competitive. If you found something worthwhile, then you can have a go and hope for the best.
 
I have tried desertcart, had bought a keyboard silicon cover, although it took a month was a good experience. But nothing can replace aliexpress (weeps into keyboard).
