TL;DR - Exemption limit raised to Rs.50000 from the current limit of Rs.2000.

This seems like amazing news. The seller just needs to mark it as personal

Now if only yhey clear older products too. Mine is under revaluation

That's going to be a tough one. Will they limit no of shipments a month. We can start importing phones again now. Yipee!!!!

Where does it say no duty will be charged , only limit has been raised from 2k to 50k

Even then, the penal rate is ~ 42% Normal rates are around 12%.

Any idea what is meant by "Item held at Customs Others"

The delivery address is in Kolkata. But for some strange reason, the package entered India via Mumbai and this message is displayed in AliExpress app.

Item is an Mi Band 2

Item can land any airport in India Mumbai, Delhi, kolkata. Item is held at customs for inspection and that's normal should be released today or tomorrow.

received it today
No customs charged . Packet was not even opened also . Havent tried it , need to set it up to check gain . Its Band 3 1800 Mhz only , 2g/4g

have ordered many small items from aliexpress.only once the item didn't reach after 40 days they gave me refund

"Awaiting presentation to Customs commissioner"

As far as I remember, @Party Monger got the same message and he was charged duty.

Many times I noticed that too but didn't faced any problem with customs. It means your package has been opened for examination. If the value of the item appears to be true to the appraising officer, you'll not be charged duty. In case it was undervalued you may get charged.

Works perfect , Couldnt check LTE as no LTE network available . Jio has only Band 40 and 5 here
Increase of 15 dbm from outside
Any other way to check or .....
