Review Aliexpress.com - Feedback Thread

They do, I've ordered from Alibaba twice, and it was very professional. There are a lot of sellers catering to end users, with MOQ 1 (depends on the value, higher valued items have a lower MOQ, both times my order was in the 100usd range, and had a MOQ of 1). The chat people are typically responsive, and cater to custom requests. They also use name brand couriers, so aren't as cheap as AliExpress though. My latest order was on July '24, and took about a week to be delivered.

Really good info, thanks for sharing. I will have to place an order on Alibaba soon and see how it goes.

Hey, is anyone ordering something from AliExpress? I need to buy an Oral B charger of small value. I will really appreciate if someone can help me order it, maybe by collating it with their order and then later I can arrange shipping from their address?

Oral B uses proprietary chargers for each of their brush models. Plus these chargers are not rated across all voltages. Some are 110V, while others 220V only. Makes no sense really, as these chargers output 5V DC, which could have been achieved for both 110-220V using a single circuit, like rest of the industry.

I had two chargers burnt which were rated at 110V (purchased in US) as they drew excessive current at 220V wall. When I reached out to OralB India, offering to purchase a 220V charger, they flat out refused to sell one, even when I offered to pay for it. I was forced to either buy a new toothbrush from them or to use a step down transformer with 110V chargers. Mind you these devices consume less than 1W of power. Using a transformer is bonkers.

Complete scum of the earth company. There's no other explanation.

Whats the charging voltage? If its 5V yu can cut the lead in between and connect the oral B base with a 5V USB cable.
Like cut after the base, cut a usb cable and isolate the red and black wires and attach them to respective wires to the base. Even if its 3.7V you can attach a IN4007 diode in series with 5V charger to drop the voltage and use it.

That was possible IF you can get a hold of the correct charger. Depending on OPs brush, it could be any of the following:

I don't understand why would a company go out of their way to define so many standards across different voltages, when it all of it could have been solved using a USB. Unless it's corporate greed.

Don't worry about input voltages. You need the output charging voltages. Look into that.

Hey thank you however, the AC-DC circuitry and wireless charging coil are inside the elliptical thingy. It is fully glued. Repair would mean opening it up but opening it up will almost destroy everything inside. It is one of worst designs I have ever seen. The charger keeps on failing again and again. I am on my fourth brush now. Get it replaced in warranty every time. Now I have many brushes but not even one functional charger.
