All newbie/starter entry level DSLR information

Hi,

I know this question has been asked many times, but still

can the photoholics over here suggest a good entry level DSLR...

1) Any brand..i have no bias
2) 99 % nature photography
3) Below 30K
4) Lenses should be easily and if possible should be available cheaply.

^^^Search for phone number of Jayesh Mehta over net.

SMS him model numbers you need quotes for.

Decide, and then go there next day and get the stuff :).

Take grey if you understand what you are taking else 1000D with kit lens is good to get your feet wet.

Canon 1000D or Canon 450D.

what kind of nature photography? landscapes? or wildlife? or macro?

but is till say skip 1000d and go directly to 450D irrespective to whatever u plan to shoot.

What is the approximate price of 450D that i can expect from Jayesh,

Also assuming i get it from gray, and it goes kaput, is there any way to repair it by paying money at canon service centre ? or as a matter of fact any other place ?

i dunno the price man,
if u buy grey, u can still get it serviced from canon, tis considered as non warranty item. u wont have problems with that..its a bit expensive(1000 bucks only for cmos clearing), but since slr as precision devices its better to go to them than else where

as per the prices, i assure u jayesh will be cheaper than other place especially in bangalore!

are u sure its 450D and not 400d,under 30k sounds good.
any idea how much is canon 500d or nikon D5000 in the grey market.

@Adder, 500D is around 36K in grey. No idea about D5000.

And yes it is 450D. In grey about 30500 to be precise.

I bought a DSLR recently and inquired about prices with him.

Yeh 450D is a far better option than 1000D..

Nikon D5000 with lens is around ~37k in gray..

I think it is better to grab 450D instead of 1000D or D3000

Or go for 500D or D5000 if U plan to expand ur budget..

newbie show girls may give u a pose,it worked for me,when i was shooting some pictures of cars in a car expo some 3years ago.they stand away from the car only after u have taken the picture:P.only works if u have a DSLR or a DSLR look like the fujifilm s100fs or s200fs.
