this any good ? 1tb silicon power nvme @ ~4k

Good brand, but ASSC might be an issue. @SoulFire had this but no idea about now.

Well flash drives are portable, need less power and have USB interface.
Anyways, this seems better value to me @ 3969 INR: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0B38L9MNY

From 9.7 INR/GB to 3.9 INR/GB of space.

No need to even consider anything other than WD SN570 1TB for a budget NVMe drive as its only competitor in India in similar price range is 970 evo plus that too only in certain scenarios where sustained write speeds of more than a few dozen GBs is required very often & cooling is not an issue(gaming laptop with good cooling or desktop with well ventilated case) because 970 evo plus runs at least 5-6C hotter than typical NVMe drive even at idle. Of course if SN770 1TB is available at a few hundred rupees more then that is best option.

Dodgy as hell. Wasn't "The_Mysterious" highlighted here earlier as suspicious?

I believe this same seller was named "The_Mysterious" and had even worse reviews at that time.

AnandIT is the only official distributor of Patriot products in India & any patriot product must have a label saying "imported by AnandIT" for any rma claim. I am guessing if someone ask AnandIT about this seller they will deny giving rma on patriot products sold by him.

What is the new go to site for SSD reviews now a days? A few years back it was anadtech IMHO. (and tomshardware)

Western Digital WD Blue SN570 NVMe 1TB for 4,299!!
3000MB/s, with Free 1 Month Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription, 5 Y Warranty, PCIe Gen 3 NVMe M.2View attachment 176032

The concern would be whether WD's debacle with external drives spills over to the internal ones as well. What I didn't know is that WD actually has not been honouring warranty for a long time now which makes the manufacturer warranty kind of pointless. Not sure why companies repeatedly do such things which completely erodes customer goodwill.

Anandtech, Tomshardware, techpowerup & reviews mentioned in this sub run by the guy who is probably the most referenced person online for any ssd related query, NewMaxx.

WD internal drives have a different tech than the ones used in sandisk external ssd series. Also, what about this "not honoring warranty for a long time" for WD.

The fault seems to be with cheap SSD controllers as well as the firmware which in many cases is similar to the equivalent internal drive.

The warranty stories are all over various tech boards after these articles came up. Won't be trying to find them again, but WD has been denying RMA replacements for quite some time on account of various reasons, one of them from is stating regional limits, and then there are others.
