One of my colleagues bought the AMD model a few weeks back. I recommended it to him over th Intel model for gaming as the 3550H/1650 combo will smash the 8300H/1050Ti in gaming in spite of the 8300H being more powerful than the 3550H.

So depends on what you're using this for. If only gaming is your concern then go for the AMD.

If you are a heavy Adobe suite user then go for Intel.

Thanks for the response :)

I did visit a store and saw both with my own eyes . Fx505 (Intel/ AMD) is also sleek too , slimmer bezels n slightly smaller too, good for carrying .

What I also noticed was Fx505 Intel version uses sata M.2 and not Nvme M.2 , hence will be slower . Also Fx505 intel doesn't have WiFi AC (2x2) , yet Fx504 has both of the same . So though Fx504 looks kinda fat , performance wise seems much better option to me .. so FX504 for the WIN on Intel's side

Now when we come to Fx505 AMD side , FX505 does have NVME M.2 , so that's Solid ! However it doesn't have WIFi (2x2) either ,which I do think is not a Huge problem .

so now final comparison between FX504 Intel vs FX505 AMD,

I wonder if AMD Ryzen will not throttle way before it can even reach 1050ti level performance let alone 1650 it's sporting ? any thoughts ?

If you check the reviews for the FX505 you'll see no such CPU throttling. The 3550H is weaker than the 8300H but your GPU will run out of steam faster than either of these CPUs. If you were running RTX 2070 or higher GPUs then it might be a problem.

BTW my colleague got the AMD 3750H model for 73k.

FX504 is the older model and so it has Pascal (1050Ti) whereas the FX505 being brand new has Turing(1650).

Very few laptops below 1 lac have 2x2 MIMO Wifi AC but I might be wrong there.

M.2 vs SATA is something I mulled over a lot for M.2 upgrade on my gaming desktop. However upon further reading I found that although M.2 PCIE trounces SATA in benchmarks there is no visible advantage in the real world performance when it comes to boot time, application/games loading times etc.

Avoid both, I bought the FX504 last year for my brother, the build quality isn't that great.
The lid is really flimsy at least on the FX504, the glue between the lid and the screen has come undone on mine where the hinge meets the body.
