News Amazon Prime TV charging extra for going ad-free

As a lot of people already said, I am going to change to shopping only prime and it's time to sail the high seas properly. I am looking into building a homelab where I can do this properly, or at the very least use debrid with stremio for streaming.
 
Just started Binge wacthing new series of Panchyat and they have already started showing AD's.

Had to endure 50 sec AD half way through Episode 1, twas for Oppo and Hyundai. I never want ever buy a Chinese Phone in my life - ever! ... so really annoying for me endure this stupid AD.

Glad my subscription comes to an end next month will not renew, just get Prime Shopping instead.

Wanted to always do this but never found the motivation to do it. Any sources you'd recommend in how to set it up?

They will loose many customers . They made a big mistake.


People are paying money is in itself a big thing. People still get download through other means.

Now you want to increase the price further.

Still better than watching movie/show on any tv channel imo. Even better than the theater, they also show a lot of ads before the movie starts.
I am not defending ads, I am just saying ads for a cheaper subscription is still better than ads at the same 1499 subscription.

Disagree.. If u talk about people on platforms like techenclave, maybe. Majority of the users that pay for subscriptions don't fall into that category. Plus even t0rrent proxies bake in a lot of pop up ads, malware and what not, plus u need a good seeder to download. Even the people that know how to download this stuff just prefer to pay for subscriptions just for the convenience and to avoid all the hassle of actually finding a good magnet. Atleast this is what I feel.

Maybe, but it is also possible they keep it this way. Else you can just time it ig? Because the prime day sale is during mid july each year, so maybe the reduce prices at the same time next year

Never ever watch linear TV. Get a PVR Box with a HDD like Tataplay HD+ then 'Record' or 'Live Pause'. I Live Pause IPL too - start watching around an hour or so later and you can FF'D past all the stupid monotonous repetitive AD's.

If you know where to look you can get better than streaming - untouched, uncut 2160p Hollywood movies which are 10bit with HDR, Hidef Audio n'all ;)
