Ok.. Here it goes...

AMD Phenom I X3 8650 default speed 2.3 Ghz , Sunbeam CCF 120mm

Jetway HA07 790 Gx Motherboard

CPU-Z Validator 3.0

Some MB/Ram snaps will update some snaps with SCCF ;)

3d Marks 05 with temp. 9500GT that I don't have now :p

Here are my screeshots

AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE with Biostar TA790GX 128M.
Still on stock heatsink and onboard graphics. Temps still well below 40 under load

Screenshot with AMD overdrives's benchmarking utility

Hello, I have an AMD X3 720 BE and Biostar TA790GX A2+ with Thermalright HS's on the CPU, GPU, MOSFET's and NB. Its still a work in progress because finding a stable OC config with the 4th core enabled is being elusive.

@ Aunkarkh1- You can go way higher than that. Just up the core. I think you are the limit of what 1.325 can do for your clock...cheers

@ Neo - Why dont you try with 3 cores and see what you can get before going onto the 4th core

@paraman - How did you get your HT link to 2000, without moving the fsb?? Mine shows 1600 for ht and NB link if I keep my fsb at 200. Must be the mobo...cheers.... and lets c some overclocks...

Hey DS how good are the "P" rated rams man....whats been the best you have got out of it??

@mav2000

I have not manipulated any settings yet. This is my first AMD system. Was using Intel till now. So I am taking it easy. Not in a rush to oc and claim bragging rights. The cpu did reach 3.2ghz in some basic overclocking but then I reverted back to default settings.

As you say, the mobo must be the reason for the HT link showing 2000mhz speed. Have you tried using AMD overdrive?

Hey Mav2000 right now I am on stock cooler that's why I dont want to increase my voltage.
Once I invest in SCCF then I will try to match you overclocks :eek:hyeah:

As for HT link speed I had the same problem of 1600 max from bios. You can incease it in bios but agian it sets itself back to 1600.
I used AMD Overdrive to increase it to 1800 (Just to check) and it remains so once windows has booted.

I have tried both AOD as well as fusion, anyway I have got my ram to run at 1000 Mhz, so the HT link and NB both run at 2000 Mhz now, so worries on that. You guys must try the Fusion software, specially for gaming and benchmarking, makes about 5% difference in benchmarking, so can expect the same in gaming.

These cpus run really cool, so even if you are stock cooler, you can run it up to 1.35 v on the core, dont think it should be too hot. Just keep an eye on the temps, and shutdown if it crosses 60. Cheers.

Welcome Euro,...btw are the opterons that powerful...man that cpu score blows the competition.....what setting is that on 3dmark v?

Nah~! Man nothing any setting  its Genuine Score of my Phenom x3 8650 Proccy

Good going guys...now lets c some higher clocks...

@knoughtyd - that's an amazing OC specially at the core V which is showing. 1.264 is absolutely amazing for that overclock. You can probably go a lot lot higher....cheers.

Manage OC list on the basis of FSB jump.. Like 400 Mhz bump isn't a big deal :p

Apart from that I am stuck with PSC transcend else I would have done 3.4 on air :) Will try providing some more voltage juice to ram and see if it works..

For now I have to update my BIOS to fix the flickering issue that comes with OC with IGP :p
