A bit out of the line right now but is there any specific thermal paste you guys would suggest?
I am using Arctic MX5 on my Sandy Bridge build but my guy right now is pushing Cooler Master.

Mastergel is crap. mastergel maker is good. Otherwise there is always AS5 which is trustworthy.

User Artic Silver, does the job, temps are pretty low, though no overclocking it was hovering around 27-37 idle using default cooler

Well can you guys suggest what sensor software to use for Ryzen, I am getting 19 C idle temp with H100i installed but that si impossible, ambient is minimum 27 C. I am using Core temp latest version

People suggest to use AMD's own Ryzen Master App to get accurate temp readings.

Well I got my Ryzen 1700,G.Skill kit and the AM4 mounting kit for Hyper 212 Evo.Now twiddling my thumbs till the Crosshair VI arrives by Tuesday.

@Chaos and @tommy_vercetti thanks for pitching in.

Will be buying Arctic Silver 5 online since Velocity didn't have it.All they have is Mastergel.

Those are too low. Do you have sense mi skew disabled? If not, utilities will report wrong temps. If sense mi skew is not disabled, cpu will not throttle properly and can cause hardware damage.

Ryzen idles in the 40's when overclocked and upper 30's otherwise on water.

Pardon my ignorance, what is "sense mi skew" I have Ryzen 1700 and have manually set the multiplier to 30 so effectively giving me 2.9 and RAM running at default 2400.

Is this Samsung b die? Seems like it is. I am holding on for the ram now. Well bought some bling bling stuff yesterday
Go through his link to check your RAM model for the die.Why didn't I find this before...::mad::mad::mad:

Yours seems to be 8Gb Hynix A-Die.

I seem to have gotten myself 8Gb Samsung B-Die Single Rank.

The dual rank 8Gb Samsung B-Dies are all 32 GB kits though.

As per this Reddit post in general (on Ryzen) you can expect up to 3466 MHz (without BCLK-OC) with Samsung B-Die (on AGESA 1.0.0.6+ Bios Versions), up to 2933 MHz (without BCLK-OC) with Samsung D/E/S-Die (AGESA 1.0.0.5+). Hynix A/M-Die are mostly working @ 3200 MHz with AGESA 1.0.0.5+. Do note that Dual Rank RAM is faster than Single Rank. E.g. 2933 MHz Dual Rank is faster than 3200 MHz Single Rank. Single/Dual Rank is not to be confused with Single/Dual Channel (Dual Channel is always better).

Has anybody on this forum bought Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming motherboard? Its a really nice looking motherboard plus comes with good heatsink to keep the VRMs cool. Plus i wanted to know which retailer is selling it at the cheapest price?

I checked Primeabgb's website, its selling for Rs. 10k which i guess is a lot for a B350 chipset motherboard.

You can call rashi peripherals and ask, but they won't/can't give it cheaper than retailers, cos they are their bread and butter

I have been using Gigabyte motherboards from last 10yrs or so, so i wanted to know whether Asus's after sales service has improved or not coz when i used to help people build rigs (by suggesting components) on this forum like 7-10 yrs ago, at that time the Asus's A.S.S was really bad. So wanted to know if that has changed in all these years?
