PS: I completed the game when a friend was around in my room. Played it with the lights on.

To be honest i had tried this games demo earlier and yep the settings indeed manages to give you chills.Alone in the dark room with headphones on i had tried FEAR long back i think.At some instances i really had to turn back to see if someone was standing behind me.lol:P but the experience was good enough.:D
In that game at least we can shoot.Here even that is not present.
 
This game scared the shit out of me tried it 2 months back. Even if i tried i was only able to make to the maximum of one hour of gameplay continuously. Uninstalled it after completing the collecting acids level. Cannot take it anymore. Sound effects FTW.

I am not exaggerating at all.

Just try it @ 1am for at least 5min and try with earphones this time (i assume u have completed the game)

Even the thought gives me shudders

That's just the beginning of the game...the part after that is where the real fun begins...

Even i play with my brother around ...

actually he watches its like its some movie
 
I estimated the amount of horror. like if in regular games the amount of difficulty increases but in this game the amount of horror increases.
Took a sneak peek of future levels from youtube
 
Thank God the feeling of fear doesnt linger long....like in case of movies....

the moment i exit the game the fear dissapears...i dont know how...

maybe because i play angry bird right after it
 
Was playing the game right now...

completed cisterns...the least scary part of the game..

more like a puzzle...again took the help of walkthrough...

exited as the name of the next level is 'morgue'...

had a bad experience in the level named 'dungeon'

The Penumbra series were killer titles! They were a part of the Humble Indie Bundle as well.

LOL I dont want to recall those days when I had played Amnesia. Gives me the chills. :P
 
Finished Amnesia

Pretty disappointed with the ending......

Was pretty exicted and eager to meet Alexander throughout the game......
Guys who havent played the game pl dont ...it will spoil the game completely
...and all you get is a FLOATING NAKED MAN.....DAMN!! :@:@

Were the game developers pervert....you get a lot of naked bodies lying around in the end...how is that supposed to be scary
 
The monsters in this game look so eerie that even if you decide to die and run up to them you get quite a scare lol :P.

Precisely that's the eerie feeling we are talking of here, that haunts you when this guy (and that invisible guy when you step into the water) turns up. And knowing that you don't have absolutely anything (not even a piece of log!) to defend yourself with, and all the darkness around with the lantern extinguished with barely any oil left, that feeling cannot be just described here.

My sympathies with those who did not play the game (or did not have the guts to!) or left it midway through. :P

Go to Program Files\Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist folder.

Find super_secret.rar. This file can be opened by programs such as WinRAR,

WinZIP, or 7Zip.

Try to extract it. It will ask for a password.

Copy and paste this password: lke271tyr299odn314

The password is actually assembled. Each part of them, lke271, tyr299, and

odn314 are given at the end of the credits when you finish a game. You

get one of these depending on the type of ending you get.

* If you downloaded your game from Steam and you don't see the file called

super_secret.rar in the redist folder, they say you just have to restart

steam and Amnesia will be updated with the file.

The super_secret.rar file contains concept art, designs, documents, and

videos involved in the game's development.

@Gannu: How long is this game? I wasn't really impressed, the last time I played it. May be I didn't really get far enough in the game. :P

Took me around 10-11 Hours. I really suggest you play this game. This game is a GEM. Believe me you are missing one of the best horror games of all time. At the start its boring i agree later on well...just play sir. :)

its THE BEST horror game


Waiting eagerly for its sequel

Hope they dont focus much on puzzles as shown in the trailer
