I cant find it on the net , but I did see it in the papers.........

Reliance Power to raise the unit rate of electricity AGAIN. And for people who consume upto 300 units their bill will now be 9% costlier and 500+ units means your bill is 17% costlier........this is utter crap......and complete leeching. :mad: :mad: :mad:

Moresoever, the price of per unit is on the entire usuage....for example :

Upto 300units say 4 rs. per unit.

Above 300 units say 5 rs. per unit.

These shrude people all they do is bring in new tag lines :

Meter Maintainence , This surchage and that surchage and this fuel and that fuel and some weird charges and find a way to l33ch the consumer........

So if you consume 301 unit also its 301 x 5 and not (301 x 4)+(5)

Disgusting , and its so sad that unlike other services you cant really make a switch........in the next building meeting im gonna ask some senior members to propose bring in TATA Power.

dude.. i dont know about reliance per say.. but with other distcoms, if the meter reading 300+ say 400 units .. then the cal is as follows:

300*4+100*5

and not as youv mentioned. And somehow i have a feeling itl be same with reliance and uv misunderstood!

as of now "NO" , our area is completely supplied by Reliance , but afaik areas arent supplirer bounded , if there is substancial business and profit for tata other provider can enter , its the same thing like cellphones , they cant bind to a particular user.......i'll have to find out abt the same.

then u have missed my earlier thread :)
which was based on reliance itself.....they leeched in excess a few k's from my electricity bill and we had to just let go....the agony was the person who knew about the miscalculations in the bill had his own guys come over to my place with a notice of disconnection of electricity because of non payment of the bill....it was like u dont pay , we cut supply , then u fight your battle , when u win and your account shows credit we will restore power.......ultimately we had to pay up and then after 'x' number of visits to the regional office / officers and what not , no result......

and yes, the calculation i mentioned is "as-is" ......the regional guy himself explained and the breakup of the increase (edited in the main post) is self explanatory............

I'm not sure who this statement is exactly targeted at... just because I live in area where only Reliance Power is available. Does that do anything remotely to support Reliance?

Even though I'm not supporting Reliance, it's already getting worse for me. Do you mean I or many like me, deserve this?
 
This is a move to encourage people to save electricity...they things are going we are using up lotsa natural resources for Power stuff right from the AC to charging out mobile phone..so called low power consuming download rig (running 365 X 24) refrigerators...and so much more...I thinks this is a good move. The more you use the more you pay. If they had kept it at (301 x 4)+(5) not many will bother since they are being overcharged only for a couple of units.

If this is a good move,I dunno whats a bad move.Charging x5 for more than 300 units is just plain stupid,it must be 300x4+(extra unitsx5).And Besides isn't even 4,5/unit a little too much?I dunno where you live where only reliance power supplies and not some govt. company.

this is what happens when a few people have too much money and power and when all politicians suck their balls for personal agendas.

people using MSEB in rest of maharashtra were paying this amount per unit from last 5-6 years. On top of that we face 6-8 hrs of load shedding a day. :mad:

also like to add one thing: in india people cant choose between power supply providers i think. noplace will you find two - four different providers. its not like internet. else i would have chosen someone with 24 hrs electricity by now :)
 
TATA want LOT AREA to bond with if no Infrastructure in your city/area by TATA presently, thus they can reduce basic cost to supply electricity.

Last time TATA survey our city but RPower SOME HOW manage them to go back. When asking TATA official they said we just can't gather subscribers we requires to bare minimum cost. Even no TATA Net service in our city.

How can we believe we are in DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY who has one of the biggest DEMOCRACY in world.

IIRC >>> TATA supplies electricity to Reliance Power in Mumbai Suburbs.

How many MSEB customers paying bill OFFICIALLY, lot of Parallel connection (without meter) on MSEB's open line in all MSEB covered area/villages & cities. Most of Electricity THEFT with MSEB.

We are talking & shouting because we are GENUINE PAYING CUSTOMERS :bleh:

Mumbai = 2 suppliers = TATA & Reliance
 
At some point, people may install their own listeroids gensets
or solar panels in each building instead of paying reliance at such rates.
