Another Tata Broadband Problem!?! Has anyone faced this?

call them up and complain...do it every 24 hours and note down the complaint number........

Then we can all go to consumer court against them as they do not provide 24x7 service as they claim.

it can automate the pinging etc in any interval you choose.. its a really nice software.. i used it to byepass the reliance broadnet logi system which disconnects you every 4-6 hours..

HOw can I do dat....coz i dunno how it works...its a bit confusing....you know...even if I keep pinging...there would be a reset happening every morning....I cant avoid dat rite???:(

you said after 1-2 hours eventhough its connected you wont be able to browse any site?

at that time will you be able to ping any site?? if not you can configure automate6 to ping maybe google.com every 5 minutes and if that task fails it you can set it to disconnect and reconnect again.. its an extremely powerful software and can be customised very much..

i think that will solve your problem...
 
hehehe....I kno they'll not do anything re....the least we can do is wait for proper services....also in they have mentioned in their catalogue..."24 services depend upon availability"...this way they have weaseled out of the situation......
 
Update : today i have been connected for 7.5hrs without any problems....

Edit : those 7.5hrs i was connected didnt inlcude any downloading....was just connected with messengers signed in....
But when i got back home n started downloading....within 30mins i was disconnected!! and the same page saying "insufficient balance" came up when i began browsing...

So what does this add upto???
 
Have just reconnected and started a few downloads....lets see how long this session lasts :D
Edit : got disconnected in 10 mins after starting the download!!! :hap2: :hap2:
 
hahahaha..it seems ur ISP has a problem...cos my downloads r perfect...just I dunno how it gets logged off in the morning cos m not there in the morning....

Well i have been using the unlimited pack from TATA instead of the hourly pack...and there have been instances when the connection has stopped working...its been on for a 3-4 days without a problem...

Regarding the disconnection with the hourly packs ...i got a call from TATA...and they told me that the hourly packs have an idle disconnect feature...that means when u stop using the comp (even though the downloads are on) the server will disconnect you....and this is done coz lot of ppl like to be charged only when they 'using' the pc...so by this they save on the net access time being wasted....

And the customer service is really bad....they take forever to respond to complaints which are supposed to be 'addressed within 24 hrs'!!
But luckily for me the local rep has told me contact him instead if the CS in case of a problem....

???? how does the server know that you are using the comp or not if the downloads are on.
 
I have no idea abt that!!! but all i know is that it does happen!

start a download...leave the pc unattended....and bang the connection stops working...
 
just changed my pack to 512k unlimited today....its been a good exp...excellent browsing speeds n constant downloads....
and the net telephony is also quite good n cheap...

has anyone been able to resolve the disconnection during night time...its driving me nuts and i cant seem to resolve it.

I have spoken to the customer service...but nothing changes.

any one know how to write a dailer that will automacilly log you on, skipping the need to use the web interface...

^^ you have the lan based connection?

coz i am using the router based connection(but not using a dialer)...and i there is no problem at all...sometimes the net stops working but it starts again by itself...no intervention required...
