As the title suggests- anyone with more first hand info.:P

Whats better when u want to gift- something that goes for formal wear, Party wear or something that's an all rounder?:S

I reiterate- those with first hand info- please be my guest.:)

^ Budget ?

Paco Rabanne for Women, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton.. heheh :D

Better try em out, whatever smells the best, get it, cause its basically for men (if you get my point ;))

How bout asking the person concerned in an indirect way ?

..otherwise u got a risk factor, since its age dependant, lots of the image is driven by pure marketing.

don't ask her friends, or there wont be much of a surprise left

..and finally don't forget yourself, assuming you got plans on getting into close quarters.

..will you like it..as well :)

..this is the tricky bit, as it has to mix with the oils in the skin to know the final result.

Thank you everyone- will check for availability and pricing at the usual places in Mumbai.:)

No idea Rio, seriously.:S
Since i will be gifting something after a long time, i better make it good enough without being one of the usual ones or the most expensive ones out there.:P
I don't think there's anything lower than 2.5K for sure, at least locally.
So maybe 3-4k at the most but may extend a little more if something really good is just beyond that.:)
But i also don't mind if something is not expensive but great to use- this comes form my H/W expenses piggy bank.:P

But women's wear can be so diverse, i am really lost.
I had accompanied a good friend to a shop once and i hardly liked some of the expensive ones she tried and liked.:ashamed:

She is an air-hostess, if that helps.:)
(Also depends if she likes/treasures it enough to use for special occasions or wants to use often.)

It says its not a good idea, since she can get it duty-free, ie waaay cheaper than you..and prolly a better selection as well.

try something else.

perfumes are a personal choice ...not one size fits all .... i know , i burnt my fingers well in the past with this

heheheh ....so no new gadget or upgrade for a while

Edit : Also once ur up with this idea go in for it......It really doesnt depend if she can get it cheaper or costlier...when it comes to gals it depends on wat "U" have done. Girls are normally sensitive about it. Even if she would have the 'same' one which u are gifting it to her she would prefer to use the one u gave to the one she normally has :) sorrry can't recomend any cause nor gifted :P nor does she like em :P hehe

A lot depends on the likes/dislikes of the person you're gifting it to.

It doesn't hurt to try some of those escada fragrances - they're not too expensive, and they smell good as well.

A few recommendations from my end would be
Dior - Diorella (new one from the dior range - its quite nice and light)
Burberry London (the female one - more floral and smooth)
Guccy Envy (again, the female one - smells good as does the masculine version)
I wonder if she might like Cacharel's Anais Anais - its a lovely fragrance as well.

Finally, the best thing would be - why not take her perfume shopping with you? That way you can find something to her taste (rather than get something that might disagree with her idea of a good fragrance?). Good luck.

Bikey, you can't go wrong with any of this:

1. Escada Sentiment

2. Nina Ricci Premier Jour

3. Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet

^ My mom has 1 & 3, just smelt 'em after I saw Rio's post. Both are certified. I had recommended Ultraviolet earlier too, check 'em out ;)

aaah!!!! how crazy has guys gone!!! giving perfumes as gift (i too made that mistake!) and moreover asking abt it in forums...

everyone has his or her own personal choice... :-S

i remmber kingkrool's comment on similar thread... " gifting perfume reminds that person that he/she is stinking!" :ashamed:

bike get her Davidoff Cool Water she will like it trust me on this ;)

its not that strong not that weak,, its just perfect :D

Damn this is a tough one as you dont know wats really her flava...
Very Irrésistible by Givenchy, DEEP RED by Hugo-Boss, SEXY by Carolina Herrera, CHANCE by CHANEL, ARMANI CODE by GIORGIO ARMANI and ULTRAVIOLET by Paco Rabanne.... all are real good.
