Any suggestions for a good perfume/fragrance to gift to someone of the fairer sex ??

It says its not a good idea, since she can get it duty-free, ie waaay cheaper than you..and prolly a better selection as well.

I agree but this is the safest and cheapest thing to gift without being branded a cheapskate.

perfumes are a personal choice ...not one size fits all .... i know , i burnt my fingers well in the past with this

Totally agree- thats why asking from help re- i have mentioned 'esp those with more first hand info'.

It really doesnt depend if she can get it cheaper or costlier...when it comes to gals it depends on wat "U" have done. Girls are normally sensitive about it. Even if she would have the 'same' one which u are gifting it to her she would prefer to use the one u gave to the one she normally has

True- someone who genuinely cares for you surely will.

A lot depends on the likes/dislikes of the person you're gifting it to.

It doesn't hurt to try some of those escada fragrances - they're not too expensive, and they smell good as well.

A few recommendations from my end would be

Dior - Diorella (new one from the dior range - its quite nice and light)

Burberry London (the female one - more floral and smooth)

Guccy Envy (again, the female one - smells good as does the masculine version)

I wonder if she might like Cacharel's Anais Anais - its a lovely fragrance as well.

Finally, the best thing would be - why not take her perfume shopping with you? That way you can find something to her taste (rather than get something that might disagree with her idea of a good fragrance?). Good luck.

Have heard of Burberry fragrances for sure, maybe the one u said is the preferred one.

The TRUTH is that we all stink dear, even if we bathe thrice daily, esp ina place like Mumbai where its so humid and grimy.

And a good, carefully selected fragrance just imitates/enhances your natural pheromones.

I am not speaking about the ones that make one smell like an agarbatti(incense sticks) shop or some florist.:cool2:

And i am sure no one minds being gifted a good one- i think even you wouldn't.

My choice... Miss Dior or L'Air du Temps . Old is gold :rofl:.

Nina Ricci, Gucci Envy, Hugo Boss as i personally like HB ones.

Davidoff, CK, Chanel.

I have heard many girls these days like our regular ones too- like Davidoff cool water or cK One.

But i don't think ishould risk doing that.

Also have to check prices with different stores and may the BEST one win.
