Hi. I'm considering msi 790fx gd70 for new rig.
Is msi's rma support good? Has anyone here had any experience with msi's rma? Please post your views and experience. Thanks.

In Kolkata Digilink (who also handles RMA for Gigabyte and DLink) handles RMA for MSI mobos- I just got one RMAed. Service is good - not excellent- took about 12 days to repair the mobo that too after a few phone calls.

a friend of my suffered the wrath of MSI Warranty (which firm I forgot) in June 2008 as his product was discontinued instead of giving him a new gen product of the same or higher performance/value they were giving him a unreasonably low value credit note but thanks to Tirupati Enterprises he got a better product for Rs. 1000 + the product

Thanks. Which company handles msi rma in bangalore? Does service facility change from city to city?

I have been having problems with my MSI P 45 Neo F mobo which I bought one year back. Trying their website found that it is blocked due to malware content. Finally two days back, managed to send them a mail describing the issue and giving Sl No and other details. On the same day I received an automated message saying that action will be taken soon and i will be informed by mail. No further progress. BTW, i rarely resort to RMA and if the part is relatively cheap I scrap it! But previously I had used an MSI mobo for Athlon XP which served me for four years after which I donated the system.

MSI mumbai is with Digilink.... n i face harrowing experience...

my 2 month old MSI X58 going bust and buggers took 28 days to replace, then with pressure from some friends and Primeabgb i got the Credit Note, which was like 1500-2000 lesser than the main price.

Anybody knows who handles MSI RMA in Kerala? It is nearly a week and I am yet to get a reply. And their site recommends to send RMA requests by mail since their toll free number is overloaded!

And what will msi require to do an RMA?

I have a less than one year old mobo that *might have* conked, but i cant seem to find anything, bill, invoice, etc.

Can i still take it to that RMA center they've got and hope for something?

the MSI center in bangalore also handles gigabyte and dlink. I got a MSI wind for my sister which came with a faulty battery and they replaced it in 2 days. The center is very close to SP road :) BTW i jus picked up a GD70 yesterday ;)

My RMA experience with MSI has been pleasant. In chennai, Digilink takes care of MSI's RMA service, they're prompt too. I bought a 8800GT, then RMA'd with HD4850 after 15months, then HD4850 went kaput in 6months. This inturn was RMA'd with HD5750. I don't remember submitting bill for any of these RMA request. I guess the serial# sticker is enough.

here is the latest update regarding MSI RMA Policy from now on :

As our commitment, MSI is going to improve our service in 2010.

To reduce the TAT procedure, we request our service center to start SWAP warranty.
The condition as below,

MSI authorized service center will direct SWAP the same or similar model if they can’t repair MB/VGA within 3 days.

MSI will give credit note only if MSI authorized service center don’t have enough model to SWAP.
By this kind of new service, we expect most of our MB/VGA will be reduce our TAT to 3 days.

This is superstuff... I have no clue where my bill is.

Now i just need to make sure that the motherboard wonly has screwed up! :P
