Today the guys from Exatt cmae again and checked everyrthing. he says that my connection is perfect except for the fact that I get 64 kbps for my dad's hard earned money paying those fat @$$#0les for 128kbps.

He says that the only thing that could be wrong is that my connection is being capped. and WHY?? I am paying 625/- per month.... why the hell should my connection be capped??

Can anyone tell me what to do?? I am at my wit's end....

And I am caught in a catch 22 situationm..... My dad is desperate to switch to BSNL. I don't want to. I need an unlimited connection.

How the hell do I contact Exatt?? Anyone know the name of someone in that godforsaken comapny?? Anyone has contacts??

I have got a number for Exatt Mumbai and been told to contact one Mohan there.....

Heh, i've been in the same boat as you 2 times, sify in my case.

That guy who came to fix your PC, why didn't you tell him to remove the caps ? if he says that they've got caps on you, stomp in their head office and ask the officials why are they capping you on 64k when you're paying completely for 128k, or at least on phone.

the thing is, I have the phone number of the mumbai office. I will call up tomorrow and blast them over the phone..... It was already too late to call up today
 
Well , there is a range of RL's models to choose from....

You want markI (range 100 mts) , MarkII (range 200 mts) or the latest 64 bit , Dual barreled ones (range to be determined but easily goes over 2000 mts)...??;)
Normal ones or Overclocked (Turbo) ones ??:huh:
Offcourse the battery and the shells will cost extra.:D

u'll just waste your money by calling them.....coz they'll put on hold and then you can surely yell at that bloody mundane music....

Besides why dont u come down here and you n me and few other like minded 'broadband' users can form an 'anti-exatt' crack team n take down the menace once n for all!!

and you'll have a wide choice of weapons to choose from....some being 'stones' , 'rotten veggies' , 'molatov cocktails' and watever else u can think of!!!

hi, how much will the markI cost ? I don't like the Sify board advertisement right outside my house, ruins the day every morning when i see it.
 
if its for sify (a very noble cause indeed) then the RL is free.
infact we may send you additional free shells just so that you make sure the job is done completely.

I have an Exatt 128 kbps connection registered in the name of BM Ravi.
The main problem is that since we shifted from Cyberoam 24 online client to Log2space, our speed has come down in half. I am not getting even 64 kbps.
The Exatt technicians have visited twice. Mr. . He was the one who came today also.
He says that everything from here is perfect. When he pings using out IP address, we get 0 % loss. But the speed is terribly slow. I am not getting even 64 kbps.
Pray tell me, what is the use of paying 625/- per month if we are not getting even half the speed?? Money does not grow on trees.
Now that I have lost half the money in th past 2 months, will you give me 256kbps for 625/- for the next 1 month to cover up??
I have been having this problem for the past 2 months. WHY?? Mr. said that there is a problem with the Mumbai office. And he spoke to them the last time he had come home and they said at that time that everything is ok and working fine. But it is NOT!!!
And as it turns out, I am not the only one.

What is going on?? Looks like the whole infrastructure of Exatt is collapsing. And we went for Exatt thinking that it is one of the Internet Service Providers.....
If this was a single isolated case, I would understand. but this is very widespread. I am now telling all my friends to stay faaaar away from Exatt.
What is happening to me is nothing but cheating. I am paying for the full service but not getting even half the service.
Please look into the matter.
And for me, it is not a question of bandwidth. I am just not getting more than 64 kbps. You can contact Mr.if you want. He is actually from Mumabi but was in Bangalore.

me too gettting low speeds on my new exatt 256kbps...16-18kBps....waaay slower than my iqara @ 30kBps....using both at the moment....exatt technical guy is coming 2day to look at my problem....if not solved, its gooddbye exatt :D
 
Most of you mumbai guys are lucky..... you have a range of options.... Igate, Exatt, Iqara, Hathway, etc.....

Here, I have only Exatt. Hathway --- no connectivity in my area. Airtel.... you need to get a landline for that also... BSNL sucks....

:rofl: hey Nikhil,do that first...anyway,i feel sorry for u....no idea about exatt but i think BSNL is the only cheaper choice left..

man that is so true. But i have hopes for Airtel. Right now they are doing a very good job in their 128 unlimited plan, i'm getting 17-20 avg from the last month and customer service has been good(unlike exatts lol), think they'll take the plans further on and may release 256 kbps.

guys reading thru this thread has completly changed my opinion about exatt. i dont think they are as i assumed them to be. frm the experiences of the members posting here i feel exatt is another thugg unlike sify cheating its customer.

I surely belive we the people using such services must take the matter upto them and let them know that we dont take things for granted.

I will agree with many views here, DONT U EVER CALL EXATT, coz all they can offer is the crappy music and crappy customer care.

I have been an ex-exatt susctiber and i know they suck bigtime.

I think all exatt users must try looking out for IGATE if u in mumbai, atleast they dont cheat u....
 
The thing is what Exatt is doing is illegal. They can be sued. We are paying for full and getting less than half service. It is CHEATING
