Let us face it, Airtel is waaaay more reliable than Exatt and I have already paid a grand to the Airtel guy for installation. And it is done. I caNNOT trust the exatt guys anymore.... and they have downtimes every few hrs, and he has to come to my house(where the boz is installed) and work on it...
 
How much does Exatt charge for 128K and 256K unlimited though?
I am paying Hathway 500/- for a pathetic 64K connection (though unlimited)
 
Hathway --- 256 unlimited --- 999.

Exatt ---- 128 --- 625
256 ---- 1000(or something like that.... don't know for sure... Appo is paying 1200/-)
 
Exatt speeds have dropped further for me!! :@ :@

i was gettin 20-21K avg speeds on my 256k conx but now i am gettin 18K max!!! :no: :no: :@ :@
those bloody cheats!!!!!! i am so sick of it....but i have no options either!!!

:O THAT is too much...... I pay Hathway 995/- for an UNLIMITED 256kbps conx and it has been fantastic. No problems at all.

God bless my cablewala for maintaining the good network.
I have Sify 256K connection which costs Rs. 795/month.
Always get 30-31KBps any given time of the day be it HTTP download, torrents or newsgroups.

Tht package is not available everywhere. I saw an AD in today's Hindu and the only unltd. package mentioned is the 64Kbps for 500. This is for Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

And Eazy, not even the Hathway website mentions the package that u have. The unltd. 256Kbps connection costs 10K pm :S accd. to the website.
 
^^ we have only 3 plans here (mysore).. 64 for 500, 128 for 750 and 256 for 1000..all unltd ones.....

For some reason best known to themseleves Hathway feel it is not necessary to show this package in the list on their site - I did not know about it till a friend phoned them and asked them on the phone for all their packages.

In Hathways bill they call it "FREEWAY - 1 MONTH" and the amount is 1096.49 after all taxes. My friend took this package with a 6 monthly payment and he pays 5000/- for 6 months !!! Not bad HUH ??

I did ask Hathway a while back for a friend in Chennai about their 8to8 night plan and I had been told by them at that time that the 8to8 account was only for Mumbai ..... so possibly even the FREEWAY package is meant for us Mumbai people only :bleh:

Check with them if they will offer you a half yearly package - like the one my friend is using.

YIIPPEEE!!! I got Airtel!!!

Unlimited 128 kbps for 999/-.

I have installed a Wireless router. So, I can link up 4 PCs with the ethernet cable and also use Wi-Fi!!!

MY house is now Wi-Fi enabled!!!

And I am getting good speeds... nothing spectacular... but decent... 13-14 on HTTP and 12-12 on BT

Its a simple problem and rest be assured that there is nothing wrong with your PC and neither is your connection crapped. I am running an ISP and is a system admin and also run the same server as Exatt.

Do one thing, just tell the Exatt guys to DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT FROM THEIR PPPOE SERVER, AND RECREATE THE ACCOUNT FRESHLY. This is a problem with the server itself and I am facing such problems everyday. You will also get your desired speed 128Kbps, (If they set this correctly at all). You can check your connection speed by going to this site:

I didn't expect that kind of intelligence (r0ck3t launch3r to blow EXATT) from you.

Be smarter. Here is HOW :devil2: :akuma:

STEP1: Disconnect the LAN cable comming from EXATT
STEP2: Choose a 220Volt AC power source with must have FUSE. Have some extra FUSE wire also.
STEP3: Choose a narrow Cable with one side power-jack of AC and other side bare-nude COPPER.
STEP4: Touch the COPPER ends of live AC volt to any 2 PINs of LAN ware.

:food3: This will be the output of their SERVERs / SWITCHES / etc.

Nah,... The copper wire of the LAN would be the first to melt breaking the flow...

@palmcp... Why would deleting and then recreating the account help ?? Can u please tell a more on this ??
 
@Nikhil ... here is a USB port rocket launcher ... if you still need to use it.
