Hey Nikhil,

Since ur problem has been acknowledged by many members, why dont u write about this problem to some magazines like CHIP-INDIA or DIGIT :ohyeah: ...i have heard that digit is gonna start a 'consumer forum' section in its magazine...it might do some help since the message will reach more people and at the same time address the problems of Exatt users..what say??
 
Ok.... good news and bad news.

Airtel say that they MAY be able to give me a connection --- 128 unltd.

But that exec who had come home today said that I will not get full 128 :( :huh: . He said that it will fluctuate between 64 and 92kbps.

How is that???

Could someone please clarify this?? I thought airtel had a good reputation. And what abt the download speeds??

yea..hath told me tht i'll get 90-100kbps during peak hours, and therer is nothing they can do about it...so its fine...
 
i take back every bad word said abt exatt!!!
seems there was some prob in the crimping done by the %^^%* cable guy....now getting steady speeds of 35-40 kBps : :clap: :clap:
 
hi,

well knowing exatt i never knew that they would cheat customers bigtime providing bandwudth. i have used exatt last year when igate was having troubles reaching me with the fibre links and i used them for baout 6 months. in those 6 months, i had siiues wiht my cable operator who pleayed a lot with my connectivity but i had 128k unlimited where i was getting perfectly what i was supposed to get.

in my experience with exatt, i would atleast say this, that there were a few good men working there, namely, mr. mohan and mr. nitish, who helped me bigtime solving my conectivity issues fighting my operator with whatever resources they could.

today, i am happy with igate and the 256k plan which i have, which is 256 unlimited, where atleast i am getting what i am paying for and the best part its all without cable operator.
 
i had a problem like there, where there wass full speed open from there but i was getting half

changed the lan card (was busted due to rains) and workin fine now

My Exatt is working at FULL SPEED NOW!!!!

Now, all I can think of is that I could have got 26kbps unlimited for the same price as Airtel 128 unltd!!! :( :( :( :(

Jeez.... This is the irony of life.....

I have never hgad this happen to me(at least I don't remember it).

Wha tterrible luck....

But I guess, I will be happy to move on from Exatt and their downtimes and all that.....
DAMN!!! This is such bad luck....

I ran the speed test at zdnetindia.com and this is what I get now

hey nikhil,

asking me for advise? i would suggest is wait a few days, dont reject the airtel offer, if the guy is connecting u, wait n watch.

i have a feeling tht u might have told the exatt guys, fix else i am leaving sort of thing, so they might have fixed the connectivity or bandwidth for the time.

please donot conclude on this observation..
