How is it that your cousin has not tried to unlock it and use it and has kept it the way it is since the last 4 and half months?
Sounds really fishy to me.

That would mean that the phone was either being modded and the mod was not successful which caused the logo to appear. Or something else happened to the phone. If the restoration is not done properly, then the phone can get bricked.
I browsed on the internet to find a solution for this, The solution is a "tethered jailbreak" but the solution seems to be a hit or miss...working for some and not working for most. Usually, the device needs to be taken back to the Apple Store!
Does anybody know for sure if this phone can be fixed? I don't want to land myself a lemon after paying 28 grands!
tejo said:It has the connect to itunes symbol but it also has the slide to unlock bar on the screen.. that means u just have to connect the phone to itunes to state whether you want to set it up as a completely new phone or you want to restore a backup of another phone on it... so in short the phone has working firmware on it might be 3.1.2 to get more details off the phone use f0recast download it from here or insert a sim connect to itunes and check.

dealwise said:No, he didn't contact me through techenclave.com but is a known person of a colleague of mine. He had iphone 3g and said was looking to upgrade to 3gs. But I couldn't digest that earphones would cost 3K, why would anyone buy them for that price ??
