I can't comment on the price, however whether Mac is better than Windows or not is a question of choice. There are folks who love Mac, and there are folks who despise it. If you are not sure, just go and try a Mac before purchasing one. Windows applications can be run on Mac, though that is not a preferable mode of usage as they aren't written to be run that way. Mac has its own set of applications for almost everything that you would want to use.

It is a good deal.. It has international warranty means it is bought from US where the macbooks are comparatively cheap.. So i think its a good deal and would advise you to go ahead..

Its a very good deal.

The OS might be different from windows, but you will love it all the same, after switching to a mac,I find it hard to go back to windows.

If you want to do fun things then get a Mac otherwise get windows. Don't trust me watch some videos of iLife 11. Specially iPhoto and iMovie. If you want to do spreadsheets get Windows... Ohhh wait with the MS office for Mac you can now do spreadsheets too on MAC.

Seriously get the MAC... Eyes closed. There are ton of things which you can much better that ways.

try a mac before u buy it.if u dont game that config is enough. but while running windows batteery life might be low, check that also. u dont want to buy an expensive laptop thaat can run osx and later running windows only. try try try before u buy

Windows can be run on the Macbook using Apple boot-camp, if you want.

But, perhaps, the greatest plus point of a mac is its OS. Its fun!

the deal is real good. You get a mac at a very very competitive price! No issues with that. Have you ever tried using a macbook in the past? if the answer is no, then please give it a shot. I never seemed to love the mac. Its great yet i somehow never got the hang of it! Trust me when i say that Microsoft is only playing catch up and is not even near!! If u love the leopard OS then this is the best deal one can probably get with a decent specs.

Bought it , waiting for the delivery........thanks for the information guys but the only thing m concerned wit the stock trading softwares wont run on MAC :ashamed:

Do we have a thread on TE which says a few things about how Mac is better? I really want to have a look. I have tried using a Mac. Tried because I found it hard to find my way through. It seemed like a different planet. For someone coming from a Windows background, the learning curve seemed to be too high. That said, I would want to know what are the things that Mac does better. Not some generic lines like 'gaming is better' and stuff, but something like, 'creating a DVD is much easier/quicker', or 'PPTs and Excel sheets are more powerful' and the like.

^ That was just an example. However, what I meant was that may be Excel (or other software which Mac has for this purpose) does better looking graphs, has better pivot functionalities and the like as opposed to the version on Windows. I am just looking for specifics.

You are referring to iWorks I guess. It is only good with Powerpoints and for Word and Excel, Office for Mac is good.

You should check out the Apple's conference where they spoke about iLife 11. I haven't seen anything as good(easy and professional looking) as iLife for doing the stuff we do almost daily on our comps. Let it me iPhoto, iMovie or Garageband which of-course I don't use.
