I gave the Remote + Mic Earphones which came with my Ipod touch .... for repair on 31st (Monday) They were making some sort of tak tak sound...when using the mic. (They were working fine otherwise)

I went to pick up the replacement today .... and what i received back ... has actually changed my outlook towards apple.

And they returned the normal ones too....

I mean companies should learn something here....

You got $79 worth for a faulty $29.

I was thinking of ppl getting bumped to first class in case there are problems but this is slightly more than that.

Did you get lucky or did what you said make a difference ?

You're right companies here won't bother with it because they have a captive market already. But Apple wants to carve out a niche in it.
 
^ I really dont know.... because when i got there.... they opened this package from Bluedart ....it had a sticker on it with "Replacement for Ambar Singh" written on it....

I think they didnt have the normal one in stock....i actually asked them if this was mine... and then the cute girl at the counter showed me the package...

Did you wait very long to get it replaced ? No, just a cpl of days.

They seem to have been very eager to get that replacement to you.

Have other Apple owners had similar RMA experiences ? or was it the 'Ambar' effect.

I'm buying an Apple earphone and getting it replaced right away. :P :P
 
Little strange for me..Becuase one of my friends had a very bad experience with them. His ipod touch 32G went bad (won't even turn ON) just one month after purchase. They gave him a refurbished one which had several scratches and they said they can only replace with refurbished items. So, I though Apple support was equally bad as others out there.

Haha nice! I'd similarly got a replacement for my iTouch before which had a dent at the back. :D
 
I just recently got my battery replaced! Of a nearly 2 year old Mac! I got a brand new battery..No doubt that Apple's customer service is way better than most companies in India!
