I am using the BARC water filter of Aum Technologies called Neermay

As I am in Bangalore & they are based in Mumbai, My building plumber installed the same in 30 mins. Its that simple

All required items down to the T are sent with the item.

I get about 5 litres per hour output.

Neermay Filter has 2 filters, a pre filter & the main filter. So I think thats why it does not get choked.

They recommend just washing the filter every 15 days to 30 days under running water with gentle hands. No other maintenance required for 3 years.

This same filter is used in NPC for making mineral water for use in their power plants.

As there are no chemicals involved the running cost & wastage of water is zero

I just store the purified water in a sealed tight Tupperware container

After going through several threads I am confused. If RO is bad for immune system then how is UF any better. As I read that UF can filter out even smaller impurities.

Secondly which type of filtration improves the taste of water besides RO? Does UF improve it too? The water in Pune tastes like it has been pulled from a handpump. Though I have not had any problem in working a rich lather out of it so I am assuming it is not hard water.

Also I have noticed white powdery sediments floating on water after it is boiled. I can probably collect enough to make a talcum powder bottle in a month. Is it calcium deposits?
 
Even I am confused as you are. I started to look out for UF systems. Called Neermay which costs around 5k. Then saw HUL Pureit which comes at 2k only. And now Tata Swach at 1.5k. Which one to take? All very confusing.
 
If I have to go with a UF system then my choices are Permionics pureflo or Kent smart as I would prefer a wall mounted and online system. Don't want to waste kitchen space or bother with filling the filter tank regularly.

I have ready the full theread and found many companies making good RO systems but all are based in Mumbai and none of these companies are present in Delhi.
Can you tell any company which operates in Delhi and has a Good RO system. The current TDS level of my groundwater is 700 (TDS).
 
Please stay away from EurekaForbes WP. A freind of mine had bought one of their UV purifiers last year. Out of the 10 months that he owned it, it was not working for about 4 mothns - (several repairs to what not parts.) Finally he got so fed up he dumped it at Croma, and asked them for a replacement or refund (which I really doubt he will ever get).
 
I am using this Aqua guard purifier e boiling from last six months & fully satisfied Customer support is good .

At present I m using this machine with rental scheme Rs 250/month around Rs. 3000 /Year same as AMC.

As already told "The current TDS level of my groundwater is 700 (TDS)" . So kindly suggest me a RO system which you feel is good in terms of VFM, gives good water & which gives good service.

I live in south delhi and have just bought Eureka Forbes Water Purifier AquaSure Elegant RO and when technician came to install the unit he checked that TDS level at my place is around 150 ~ 180 and the RO has been pre installed with candle to handle (500 ~ 2000) TDS and above.
He suggested me to change candle to handle lower TDS ( 200 ~ 500) for 1K.
What do you ppl suggest should I change the candle for Rs1000/- OR should I keep my current preinstalled candle that is built to handle ( 500 and above TDS)
