^^ Make sure the C:\ drive is sufficiently spacious. I believe the error just means that your C drive is full, and you need to free up some space so that the .exe files can extract to a temporary location and start the installation.

That's exactly what happened in my case. I ran out of disk space, which to my amazement had 3GB of free space in it, prior to installing the game. I'm giving up on the demo. Will wait for the full game. Apparently this still needs some finishing.

@Ethan_Hunt: But the codemasters folder in program files takes only 567mb in my case. Don't know what the issue is..!

@PAt: I second your opinion. It IS good.

@Params7: THe full version should allow for editing controls, so hope it'll be fine then.. :)

well i have 20GB of free space in my C drive!
is there any way to extract the .exe file to a specified drive i.e is other than C?

tq

I got it installed yesterday.

Gameplay is better than Brian Lara but yes controls are really wierd, though i am sure everyone will get used to it.

I played on 1920x1080 reso on my 8800GT and it lagging like hell.

^^ Good. So it was a corrupted download file that was creating the error.

Anyways, there are quite a few bugs which I'm coming across now. For one, sometimes when I bowl and the opponent is trying to take 2 runs, sometimes the 2nd batsman stops halfway through the pitch as if he has made his ground in his crease, and starts casually looking at the other end. All you have to do is throw the ball to the other end, and he is run-out. Today I got 8 England wickets in a single match in the same way. :O

^^

something similar happened to me,Freddie was bowling to me,the batsmen jst walked 2 steps outside the crease and missed the shot, the ball went to the keeper(who is standing back) and he "stumped" me!!! the batsman was still standing outside the crease even after playing the shot and the keeper threw the ball at the stumps!!

Nice game. Could have been a lot better. It seems extremely dull. Maybe some commentary and crowd noise like in Fifa would add the "Mirch-Masala". Also the batsmen animations are ... well... ho-hum. But as someone above said, the best PC cricket game ever :P

I believe you need to "get back" to the crease to avoid stumping using either the up or down arrow keys. This is one area where this game scores over most others. You have complete control over most aspects of the game, like diving towards the end of the run, catching the ball, deciding the end to throw to, etc..

@Phoenix: I read somewhere that the full version has much more lively audiences.. depending on the country the match is set in, you have audiences blowing horns, or beating drums, etc..

Oh yeah! I remember that. It is something which I have missed ever since Brian Lara 99. It used to have all those cheers & drum beats when the match would be played in West Indies. ;)

oh great, thx i dint know that.

Hmm That's good then. But the bowling still does not give that sense of pace. Maybe because it would be difficult to play then, but well, the fast bowling seems so slow, and there is literally no swing. Or is it because of the pitch/weather fixtures in the demo ?

Well, one thing is sure. Gonna get this when the full version is released. Also, any way to remove the annoying initial videos and the Trademark writings etc ?
