Assassins creed 2 DRM is going to be really really painfull

wow 43 hours is a lot... what was your final sync percentage? i ended at 72% and while there was more i could do, there are other games to play as well so i left it there.
 
I am synced at 97.18% with a playtime of 25.5 hrs :D

Only those idiotic treasures left to pick up. And i guess one or two locations to be entered. Glyphs, Feathers, all purchases etc etc done :)

lol..yeah..i normally play single player games kinda slow on my own leisure..i played DAO for 90 something hours with still some side missions to go :)(though most would have played more than that)..
In AC2 most of that time was spent on collecting the feathers..i didnt know that we can track the number of feathers for each city in the secondary memories of the DNA..i used to roam around looking for feathers in a city without even knowing how many were in the area..only after completing it i realised and was really really pissed off at myself..and am synched at 99% something..only some treasures still remaining and I dont intend to complete it..but its worth another playthrough :)

Not normal. I only spend time on the secret stuff if i get something extra as a reward. I hated it when u got nothing if u collected all flags/killed templars in ACI. So i never did those.
 
I started playing this a few mins ago and i'm already stuck. Its the sequence where Ezio is supposed to carry Leo's painting crate. I'm just not able to pick it up! Everytime i press shift all he does is the gentle push action! Is this a bug? How do I go about it?
 
^^ Yeah that tends to happen sometimes. You have to be as close the the crate as possible, stand on it if you can and try various directions and angles.

Tap Shift twice quickly...it worked for me.
 
Started playing on yesterday.

One of the best games I've played. Love it so far (at sequence 6 now).

Noticed that most of you have mentioned your sync %'s. How do you check your sync percentage with this?
 
Hmmm... funny I cant seem to find a stats menu under there.

It worked! Now I'm stuck in the training with mario. Did the escape training twice by fluke but am unable to perform it for the third time

if i remember correctly, you can't access it from the main menu. start the game, then press escape and check the options menu then.

edit - yea i just checked. you need to load your save and then it shows up

 
Is anyone able to connect and play?

I see an "Establishing network connection..." when loading the game although my connection is fine (am posting here right now).

Press and hold "Space" and a direction and you will escape the battle (sort of run away).

And anyways, this SHOULD encourage boobisoft to not mess with the PC players. If not for the DRM, I was the first in line to buy the game. But I did not. And I am still playing the game... Are you listening boobisoft?!!!!!!
Down with your DRM......... Dont implement it in POP and Splinter cell and I WILL buy them... As will most of us who did not buy AC2............

If anyone is against the DRM IMO they should not play the game.

Playing a pirated version would only provide the developer more telemetry (I assume they have a way of collecting this as was done with PoP) and lower their confidence in releasing future titles for the PC.

I cant realistically think of a justification for playing a pirated version. Of course just IMHO and I'm no saint either. :)
