no one is playing this game with a CF setup here?24 fps on 720p from a HD 5970?this sucks,i think this game doesn't utilize more than one gpu for now,and i don't think a new CAP is going to fix this problem(if ubi don't release a patch for this and even if they do and the patch doesn't do jack, then i am going to crucify ubi for ruining ac3,the last games ran beautifully for me),is no one suffering from low fps in the game?i mean aside from boston and new york, just bad performance in general gameplay.sheet.also,could it be because of the 12.11 driver i am using?

Except for the tree hopping and slightly faster sprint everything else seems horribly boring up till now and I'm playing sequence 6.
That was my reaction too. But sequence 6 onwards the game has been really fun.

I think I've been on sequence 8 for the last 7-8 hours, just doing all the activities and side missions. Naval missions are outstanding.

Remember UC3? :P

Yeah but UC3 wasn't this bad. I mean the game picked up after Ch. 4 or so although YMMV.

Anyways, keep us posted on how it goes. And Rajat, if you are planning to sell the copy (PS3?) I'll pick it up in case there's no patch coming from Ubi. :|

Yeah, sequence 7 is actually better.

And the naval missions are really cool.
I was just cruising through the main story up till now but have started doing some side missions as well.

#Gannu : I'll pass it on to you once I'm done.

Btw forgot to ask, are there any missions wherein we are supposed to recover secret artifacts? I forgot the name for these missions - there used to be one. Do you guys recall Ezio used to go through sewers and large cathedral tower tops to recover the artifact wherein we had the time limit as well. Those were insanely cool.

Do we have such missions in AC III?

Rajat, thanks dude!

They are replaced by Captain Kidd missions, but on a smaller scale. And only 5 of them, but they are good fun with time limits and optional restrictions for 100% synch.

Found this on reddit
AC3 in a nutshell

Game is running just fine on my rig . 35 to 60 fps in Boston , with core i3 2120 and gtx 560ti . Just installed nvidia beta driver 310.64 and turned vsync off and it boost my fps by 7 or 8 .

The sequences of action, platforming and chase and all are very less in this one and those that are there ain't that engaging.

Combat is slightly overhauled but isn't fast enough but that is usual with all AC games.

A lot of elements seem to be borrowed from RDR but I really wish that they had made the horses more like RDR.

The tree hopping is cool but is more like premeditated so it isn't as if one can climb any tree and start away.

Horrible performance at Boston I forced my self to play later the performance improved reached sequence 10 ..I've had fun playing it.. naval mission are superb rest very easy.. played for six hours now..

How long are the Boston levels wherein the frame rates are low? Is this issue prevalent only in Boston? Or is it experienced elsewhere as well?

Just did two of those Captain Kidd missions and both were extremely fun to do.

I wonder what stopped Ubisoft from incorporating the same elements and same level of fun in the main missions and gameplay as well.

just deleted this POS,and went back to dmc4 ,damn

to people who have played this game:does the story end with this game or is there going to be another installment?

well the ending was pretty neat.they explain everything....it pretty much ends this trilogy .. probably they may have part 4

The most boring game I've played in a long while. There is absolutely nothing significant on the map except Main missions. No weapon and gear upgrades is was what killed the game for me. This is shocking as I was expecting it to better AC II. Unfortunately, that was not to be.

I am yet to finish it.Therefore no comments on the overall game.right now i am in the middle of sequence 10.The bear hunting missions are awesome.:D
