- Not my primary mouse anymore
I had purchased it in the middle of last year after giving up on Logitech's forced switch failure shenanigans for years prior to this. To that end, it is a much better mouse with great self-serviceability.
The default ROG switch is rated at 70mn clicks (compared to the failure at 1 year/5mn clicks for most Logitech mouse using the Omron China switches) and has great tactile feedback based on my usage for the past 1.5 years. Besides that, it comes with spare Omron Japan switches which have to be just inserted in the socket without the need for desoldering/soldering. The side buttons are also a respectable Kailh Blue.
The most common issue with Asus mice is the scroll wheel jumping after usage for a few months, but that is actually easily fixed by adding the right-size buffer to the wheel stem, as I have done (can be seen in the attached image). Since it only has two screws under a rubber cap, it also doesn't require removal of the mouse feet, spares for which are anyway included in the package as well.
Supports ROG Aura Sync, so the mouse wheel and logo LED are individually customizable in terms of colour and effects using Armoury Crate. For peace of mind, also included some online mouse test results for the buttons and scroll wheel which work perfectly (ignore the actual results as I was not trying to beat any records).
In terms of condition, a piece of plastic below the side buttons had chipped off over a year ago when the mouse once fell from the desk, but that is purely cosmetic. I think the price is right for what it was purchased for and its features, including the fix done to make the mouse more reliable. Besides, I intend to keep it as a reliable secondary mouse anyway rather than sell it for an unrealistically low price.
