I have corrected this.

I was confused about the 5GHz spectrum as I earlier used this modem for many years with 4G connectivity - on my cellphone & LG Wi-Fi OLED TV with no problems.

The Asus RT-N14U Router Manual clearly specifies on pg 12.
Asus RT-N14U Manual English
If you are using only one computer with a single band IEE 802.11 b/g/n WLAN Adapter, you will be limited to using only the 2.4GHz frequency.

So if this router still is required by any person then you may procure it at a very low cost.
