In feb this year, I bought an Asus multi device mouse from Amazon. Now I need to claim warranty as its left click seems to be stuck. However, Asus is not honoring the warranty, as the product when registered on their portal, is showing warranty expired ( as per manufacturing date ). And they are not accepting Amazon invoice as it does not bear Serial number.

These days most of the purchases are online and seldom carry S/N due to automated billing.

Anyone faced similar issue and how did you handle it?

PS : RP Tech in Nehru Place mentioned the mouse is ASM/ASN category and warranty claims will be handled directly via ASUS helpline.

Download P-slip/Warranty PDF. It should have serial number.

Checked that. Doesn't have the serial number

It does have some code below the part name ... but doesn't match SN or P/N or EAN or UPC or the bar code Amazon pasted on that

Why don't you check with Amazon itself probably letting them know that their invoice is not being accepted for warranty with Asus?

Its true amazon isnt mentioning Serial nos. on many products since almost a year or so. Whatever their internal practices but its useless and painful for the end customer.

I'm unsure if asus requires physical invoice or not but when I registered my mobo on their site it shows under warranty but seems it takes manufacturing date. I bought the mobo 6 months down and I dont have an invoice. So technically I will be losing on valuable 6 months if I fail to produce/upload invoice..

Just had a call with Asus customer support. And they are insisting to connect with Amazon for an invoice with serial number .

Honestly I do not think Amazon will provide an invoice with a s/n of product that was sold months ago.

You should try to contact Amazon
I was in a similar situation last month although my purchase was 10-12 days old when I got my invoice done.

Ask the Amazon support to check Invoice And P-Slip and let them know that there is no serial number in them and you are being denied warranty due to this.
Hopefully they will help you out

Yeah the first query was within their return period. They asked me if I want a replacement, but since @mzsa1994 wanted to use the SSD, I opted for updated invoice instead.

They asked me to send pictures of the drive, the box with serial numbers on it and the invoice/p-slip I received. Within 3 days I got the mail with the updated invoice, with the serial number on it (below the item).

I have erased the S/N for privacy reasons of course. It starts with 220 as visible in screenshot attached.

What is going on at ASUS !!!
My new motherboard, bought in Aug 22, ( mfd Oct 21 ) is poised to loose 10 months of warranty. Reason "DELAY SOLD".

How's this customer's fault? Apparently when buying Asus products, we should treat the vendors as Sweet Shops and ask if it is 'fresh' or not .
