Yeah Gannu, It's Rashi.
I got the replacement today (was out of town). It's a sealed pack manufactured in May 2013. Hope this one lasts longer than 6 months !

Does Digicomp fare better reputation wise?

I didn't get any better treatment than you did going by your experience so I suppose Rashi has definitely improved.
