congrats on the 3k mark ..... i just hope that the future catalyst releases will pep up the HD series or ATi would have bungled up big time ...... and also that nVidia starts the price crashing even though at the moment the HD series poses no serious threat

ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB review

ouch, got owned by g80's in a game potentially optimized for ati?

and its official, time to dump your 8600's,8500's..

and dont even think of buying hd 2400 and 2600 for dx10 games..

wow........8800gts only givin 27fps..........wat boost do u guys think would be there on 1024x768 ????? with V-Sync off .......coz i'm plannin to get a dx10 card most probs the 88gts .... and will continue with my 15" LCD

wow ypu kno what , these game developers mite have a serious plan to help the card manufacturers sell their highest ended cards and every gamer on the planet will starve to death coz he wont have any money left to buy a crappy morsel of food as the most expensive graphic cards rule over the world and we are their slaves ........ aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

^^ Yep brings back NV30 memories.. but lets see what the mid segment cards, and driver improvement does to the series...

But its heat print and power efficiency are absymal...

But looking at the UT2k7 engine, it seems ATI triumphs once more here ...

Now only if someone would fill the performance gap between an 8600 GTS and 8800 GTS...

well let us hope more stable catalyst releases r on the way so that it would at least justify some people buying this card

I think when Dx10 games will come ATI will win, as after all M$ and ATI and Cytek etc all together made this Dx10 model.

I think this card would do great after some driver updates. But the noise and power consumption is horrible.

Well guys u got to agree ... ATI lost ...its as simple as that. The long awaited R600 failed .... that is the hard truth. No point discussing about driver issues and DX10 games and all. Overall it is a loser.

You got to remember that the money in not in the top end market but in the integrated and low/mid segment stream market where the volume sales are..

If ATI is able to carve a niche for itself there, then its a completely different story coz the profit comes from those segments.. :)
