Arrey no, I'm saying ask him to write a cheque entitled to "SELF"

you can take that cheque to the bank (any branch) and take the withdrawal..max limit is 50K.

And it will show no where as trade, it will look like that he withdrawing money.. its how ppl used to do when there's wasn't atms and still most of the current accounts are used by the cos still this way.

But chances of it getting misplaced is high and someone encashing it too

With ATM card atleast security PIN can defy it as the person getting it wont be able to withdraw

Anyways i didnot asked for the option its the guy who gave this(i dont give my debit card to anyone and i guess the persons card is pure ATM not debit)

Plus most banks around my area have started refusing giving Cash at counter or charges for it...For ATM there is no such restriction plus the card is of government bank and ill prefer ATM rather than standing in queue for an hour or two and do charity writing slips for people who withdraw or deposit 200-300 buks and waste my time in queue for an hour till their number comes or they quarrel with the guy at counter
