So Im looking into pro accounts for a streaming service with ability to download songs ( hopefully in FLAC )
Opinions on services available in India

Saavn Pro - 320 kbps
Gaana Pro - No idea ?
Wynk - bad collection
Tidal - Expensive and dont know if it works in India?

Based in some research of searching for artists, seems Gaana has a massive collection of western classical, metal etc.

All Indian streaming services are capped at 320kbps. Tidal work in India if used via a VPN service.
Saregama India on the other hand allows WAV download @1411kbps.

Got the Saavn pro subscription for one year free with OP3... Would be interesting to know annual subscription rates for all the available options.

Initially I felt good about saving some memory but later started downloading playlists from Saavn, I doubt its taking so much of space from my 64gb.

If there are FLAC quality songs available in app, I might well consider it after existing subscription.

Apple music.. give the free ttrial a shot.. i guess you will stick with it.. not expensive either at 120 a month

+1 Apple Music, the digital mastering of tracks is awesome, I've never gone back to any other options .

Wynk comes free with my Airtel, its another good option but I found Saavn to be better than Wynk.

This is the problem. Nothing over 320 kbps.
With good gear need original music in atleast flacs

There is no point in a streaming service that goes over that bitrate.
I hope you do realized flacs are meant for a niche audience because most ppl would hate it if their audio steam buffers long esp on flaky mobile 3g

Audio buffering will work on our 3G networks easily. But there is a good number of people who are looking at desktop usage and thats what I am looking at. Streaming videos takes more bandwidth. Last I heard spotify is going to enter India so will wait for it. Till then vpn
