They sometimes get listed for 9-10k used in the FB pre loved group but will be gone pretty fast

I will beg to differ here, though I don't have the HD599 ( but had the Drop 58X till the 2nd house cleaning and have my favourite HD598)
Unless you have a very high quality source and amp, they all will sound VERY similar from most commonly used amp DAC like Schiit audio etc. 599 when amped properly has a very precise instrument seperation ( though the soundstage is definitely more closed in)
And like all Drop edition headphones, 58X is somewhat overrated ( great for price though)
If your amp is decent, all of them will satisfy you. Afterall Sennheiser don't really use very resolving drivers in their HD5XX series ( which is logical, very few people will drive a 150 USD headphone with an amp priced 4-5 times and of course it's not about volume)
If you're not willing to invest in an expensive amp, it's the K702/712 that will satisfy most people.
Another thing I want to point out, specially for wireless headphone users. PXC 550 in USB mode can rival many wired closed back headphones ( as the wireless restrictions are eliminated, the internal DAC and Amp of the headphones takes over just like an wired external amp DAC) it's a very pleasant sound without any bloated low end, clear highs (without the stupid smoothening effect) and pretty resolving mid. This sounds better than M50X/ 40X and dare I say Meze 99 (one of the worst sounding closed back headphone for the price)
If you're looking for an all in one solution (wireless, USB powered, ANC, no need to buy a DAC/ amp) this can be a very good option ( even when the battery dies, it can be used as USB powered headphone.
Only one drawback: The drivers themselves are not very efficient, so using them in a completely passive mode wired will need an amp.
Many of you probably own it...try the USB audio mode, and togle off the Bluetooth ( this part I didn't know, with BT off the amp stops power sharing)
Bose and Sony will never allow this USB audio thing as this will bring out the sub par drivers.

Hello everyone, Im not much of an audiophile, but recently my niece just got out of the hospital after having covid.
Wanted to get her a good pair of headphones around INR 20000 ish (she's quite young and tends to break expensive stuff), can anyone suggest some good Bluetooth headphones?

First of all, congrats on the recovery! Hopefully she is all well now.
The Sennheiser PXC 550-II is a highly recommended one here, considering gifting one to my dad sometime soon. Currently it's at 18k, will probably come down to 17k during sale days (before any card discounts).

Do those headphones have a decent mic input too? Would be helpful during zoom calls, college video calls etc.

According to rtings, it's better than most other Bluetooth headphones, and pretty good on its own, as long as you're not in a noisy environment. So should be suitable for wfh, not so much for walking down the roads (wouldn't recommend these for that anyway since these are noise cancelling). Full review here:

If the tendency is to break expensive stuff, why spend so much is my opinion.
You should get good ones around 12k to 14k too probably the Sony.

Yes, PXC550 IIs are great for casual music listening, flights, everyday commute etc. They are pretty decent for online meetings, classes etc. from home. I'm using it for more than a year now.
But it doesn't have USB C ( not really a problem for me as I am an old guy with lot of micro USB stuff)
There are very decent bluetooth headphones available for much less @ Amazon. For a kid, consider those too.

Like I just said she just came out of the hospital, the budget can be lowered not an issue just want to make sure the quality is good

There's a lot of options ranging from 3.5k to 15k for Sony's wireless stuff:
WH-CH510 - 3.5k
WF-XB700 - 7k (Wireless earbuds)
WH-CH710N - 8k
WH-XB700 - 8k
WH-XB900N - 15k
Not exactly sure about sound quality of these but they all should be decent enough (altho the 3.5k model may not have the best build). The XB models will emphasise heavily on bass compared to the CH models, so you could make a decision based on whether she likes bass or not. Good luck!

I have tried the Boat Rockerz 600 and they are great for the price...1500.
