Battle of the inverter Air Conditioners: Daikin, Panasonic, Mitsubishi or Toshiba?

It wasn't turning off mate. It's just the speed of the compressor being varied. The inverter brushless compressor is SO silent that you can't hear it except for when it's on full power.

"Inverter" was written on the IDU as well as the ODU. Additionally, I checked the model number in Daikin's website and found it to be a R-22 based inverter model.

Since the ODU was installed in the balcony (balcony could be accessed), I saw the fan turning off. Additionally, with the fan (ODU) turned off, the ODU was absolutely silent- I stood in front of it and could hear absolutely no sound or feel any vibrations. So, I am assuming that the ODU would have shut off completely. All my observations are based on the "cool operating mode" set at 24C temperature on a sunny afternoon.
