I am looking for a new pair of jeans. However, I'm not one of those uber trendy persons who like the wear the most expensive pair in town so I don't have a lot of money to spend on them. I just can't stomach paying 5K for a pair of jeans that may or may not fit my wardrobe a couple of years down the line.
I want something with a pretty "normal" look, i.e. no holes, marks, crazy drawings, jeans that look 10 years old etc. just a normal dark stone wash, something that'd look good at the office and the club. You get the point.
I am a big fan of Levis for their durability but my God I was shocked to see the appalling quality of their jeans (505). The fabric was like a trouser and there was barely any "heavyness" to it. The zipper was very flimsy and the hem (or whatever you call it) was practically non-existent. Most other series had jeans that were completely faded. I had gone there wearing a Levis and came out having a new found appreciation for my old pair. Sure I haven't bought any jeans in the past 1-2 years but if this is what Levis are striving for, I think my money is better spent elsewhere.
I'm guessing there are a lot of fans of good quality durable jeans on here. Anyone care to recommend a good brand? I've checked out some "supposedly" international brands like Cantabil, Koutons etc but they're quite crap.
