no re.. that person confused me..he says amd has heating issue..:S

he says

if u go for amd then u got to use ur 720-proccy on 40degrees cel....if u have

not invested on a good cpu cooler and r using ur stock cooler

i dont know if it is good or bad but i guess AMD has heatng issues which could be taking care of by replacing the cpu cooler,

i like Budweiser bcoz im used to it...

i had carlsburg yesterday...taste was a little bitter...maybe carlsburg has some quality issue...

dont get sucked into uninformed n biased dealer sorta talk claiming amd having heating issues...

i have been seeing more intel related heat issues n shut downs more often on this forum....its not the working temperature that matter...its how the component stands that temperature.
 
Please don't get defensive! All members suggested u G31 & E5200 U talking about 775... what are we suppose to assume? I think this thread is total BS. Get Quad core i7 for your friend's parents with liquid cooling set-up, who knows they might wanna volt-mod also :lol:

ohh, i would love to, but you know he has given me just 9k to play with.
or maybe you can arrange me a i7 setup for 9k.

Since its to be run at stock clocks, the X2 7750+ would be just as good as the E5200.

However, finding a cheap 790GX board is difficult. The only cheap 790GX board is by Biostar, and dealers seem to be shying away from it for some reason. Even a 780G board from Gigabyte is around 4k.

So in a way, the Intel setup actually works out cheaper.
 
He has a budge tof 9k in that he can easily get a X2 7750 and a 790GX :P

Get either Jetway or Biostar...

BTW Intel would be a better bet in lower segment for now ... But getting a 790GX will be an easy platform for future updates ;)

Biostar TA790GXB - 4.4k

X2 7750BE - shouldnt cost more than 3.6k

1k extra...save it for some accessibility goodies for grand parents...sumthin like pc remote...

e5200 @ 3.0Ghz (Stock Cooler, Stock Volts) - 3.45k
G31-S2L - 2.25k
Ati HD4670 - 4.3k

Total = 10k

Less than ur total of 12.5k n Double the performance of ur suggestion :rofl:

@Voltas: Kick AMD n go for intel as rockfella/amien/I said. The above config wud be awesome for a Uber Vista experience + HD movies + Pics shall open like a charm.

Come on guys, the parents shud feel the lightning speed (while opening their windows media player, or scrolling through tonnes of family pics)

Else the onboard gfx card on G31-S2L is enuf for vista experience when coupled with 2x2Gb RAM. Whereas HD4670 wud be faster evn with 1x2GB RAM.
