Better display for 360 - Samsung Bordeaux 26" HDTV or Dell 24" Widescreen Monitor?

In your opinion, which is better. Getting a fully-fledged HDTV like the Samsung Bordeaux 26" for 37k or getting the Dell 24" Widescreen monitor which has component/composite inputs and sells for 36k? Which display would have the better image? I heard that the Dell monitor is 1080p capable and that the Bordeaux isn't. Is there any truth to this?

26" bordeaux is not full HD. It does not have native 1080p resolution.

If its exclusively for xbox and watching movies, go with the dell 2407.

Its wayyy better than that bordeaux.

Hey man, thanks for clearing that up. :) I read on another site that the Dell monitor is full 1080p capable, but I didn't know about the Bordeaux. Well, IF I get the Dell 24 incher, I will be using it as the primary display for 360 and my PC. Is there anyway I can have both hooked up and switch between them on the fly by using a switch or something like that?

^^^hmmm WHO THE HELL...........Thief :p

Yeah the Dell would do HD but thru a DVI cable...The Bordeaux is sooo not worth it !!!

P.S: could you do me a favour of changing your nickname :D

The Dell is a better deal if you compare it to a 26" LCD because you can double it up as a PC monitor. However at only 24", you will not be able to tell the difference between 720P and 1080P while you are watching movies, unless you wanna sit 2 feet away from the monitor. My recommendation would be to spend a little more money and get yourself a decent 32" LCD, which these days should be under 45k.

I dont know about you guys but atleast i can feel the difference between few 720p and 1080p clips that I have.

Those are mostly trailers but still its noticeable on the monitor which is not even 1080p ready. And if you are gona use it as a personal monitor you will be watching movies from around 2-4 feet away from monitor at max. And at that distance you will notice difference.

And also none of the 32'' LCD TV can do 1080P as well. Dell is overall better investment to double up as PC monitor. Unless you actually want to buy TV for you living room or hall.

IMO best will be to get a 32inch bordeaux, or a 28inch dell, provided he can spend that 5-8k extra.

else dell 24inch should be the obvious choice
