the seller agreed to sell the for Rs.5,500 {which was the original price in the thread, now he changed to Rs.6,000}

i did the payment immediately but was not processed due to some error.

today morning my friend specially went to the bank to check y neft was not done & made sure that the money has reached the seller.

now the seller is getting an offer from a local person for Rs.6,000 so for
Rs.500 more he says he wants to sell the psp to the local guy
he said that if i paid him Rs.6000 he would give the psp to me.
i have already paid him Rs.5,500

i have the pm msg which he sent saying that a local is offering 6000
{pm is forwarded to all the admins}
also i have screen shots of yahoo chat {i had a chat with him on my iPhone}

cause of money the seller refused to sell the psp to me

People kindly note i have already paid him Rs.5,500

the reason he says is he doesn't want to get into shipping hassle
then why is he offering to sell now also at Rs.6000 including shipping ?

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER
 
If he repays you the whole amount, then i think it shouldn't be a problem at all.. Its upto the seller to choose whom to sell his product to.

If he is not returning your money, then its an issue.
 
But it will be a issue if first he agree for 5.5k and later on increase the price. It is not about the money I think it is about the price.

I do not know the fine details but if the seller has agreed on the 5.5k and the buyer has paid the money then the seller should stick to it. 0.5k is not a big amount when it comes to reputation.
 
This is definitely an issue since he promised to sell to you and then in the endjust because some1 offered him some more money he moved on. It is highly unethical and an example of bad trading. This is why you should tell the seller to list the goods on ebay at the price discussed +6% and then use a discount coupon this way you are sure of getting the product and if the product is not in good condition you can end it back tell ebay and get a refund.

Will be avoiding his sales now on.
 
Yeah, its my mistake to have asked u Rs. 6,000 after initial quote of the 5,500. I agree with that. The problem was I didn't know the average price a PSP Slim sells at.. well I've updated the price in the main thread. More than the 500 bucks, I've got a local buyer, it does not matter if he offers me 5.5k or 6k. Its the shipping hassle that I don't wanna get into.
The point to note is that you said your friend did the NEFT transfer y'day in the morning itself and that the money would reflect in my account by end of the day. It didn't and I found a local buyer yesterday, which I mentioned to the OP. The increase in price(my mistake) offer I shouldn't have done. I agree its my fault, and thats about it. Now I would like to sell it to the local buyer(no matter at wat price) and in the end its my decision whether to sell it to u or not. I went through you're other PSP sale threads, and its more than clear(links below) that you're desperate to buy this just to make a quick buck(which is of no concern to me obviously).

And as for you're last question, I've updated the price with shipping, because in case I couldn't the local buyer backs out, I'd have to ship it, which is not the case.
Moreover quite a few buyers would vouch for my pricing. I've never increased the price of all the other computer components I've sold on TE, its only in this case coz I was ignorant in not doing prior research before posting the sale thread.
I've received you're money today in the afternoon and I would definitely like to return it back to you, no matter what kind of feedback you give me... Also please do take a note I've mentioned Local Buyers will be given preference.

P.S: I asked the OP if the price I was selling was right or not? He told me its a good price. Then I did tell him, a few people + sale threads all point at a higher price, his reply was this: "Yes, I would obviously not want to increase the price of something I'm buying, crazy?"
 
Bro may i enquire as to why u r buying this psp .. It seems that its a hobby(for whatever possible motives) to buy and sell psp .. Check the following threads

I think the trading section is being confused with a local market .. There are some lines that separate the two business models i think ..

Can you please tell me why were you buying this psp when u have sold here so many psp s yourself .. shouldnt a chance be given to members who genuinely want this psp for their personal use? i mean i knw the white psp was sold for 6.5K and now u r buying another white/silver psp for 5.5K .. Y sell one for 6.5K and then buy one for 5.5k? i mean even if u say it was your friends then you could have simply brought it from him if u really needed it rite?
 
Refund him money asap Sathya, Rs. 500 is not worth spoiling ur repu. I've dealt with u in the past, i am sure it was your ignorance misquoting the price initially, refund now :) u will get buyers!

I'm ready to refund his money right away, but he hasn't given me account details yet, which I've asked for in the afternoon itself.
 
imo, its the seller's choice whether he wants to sell his stuff or not, and to whom.
As per the seller, he made the decision to sell it to a local buyer (outside [TE]?), b4 anybody paid him.
I feel the seller should have just told that its not for sale anymore, instead of trying to give an explanation..
If the seller has already agreed to return the money, then the buyer should just accept it, why create a thread to tarnish another [TE] member's image??
This is not Ebay, just a forum for like-minded ppl to trade their stuff, so that others can get good working stuff without paying exhorbitant prices.
If somebody is willing to pay more, why should seller not accept it?
 
It is the matter of committment

when a seller gives his payment account details it means he is committed to sell

to me. Now if he finds a buyer who is ready to pay more that's not my problem.

Yesterday night when the money didn't come in the sellers account

he told me that he will wait for today.

My friend went out of the way to the main branch of sbi to get

the transfer done immediately.

Now he backs out cause he is getting a good price.

I don't think these are good ethics.
 
@Sunil... dont drag this mate...

just give him ur account details and get ur money back and close this issue...

it is his choice to sell it to whomever he wants and Shipping hassle is a genuine reason for sellers to backout at the last min.. it has happened to me before...

+1 IMO,its the sellers choice,and Local Buyers are obviously given first preference.Not a big issue,unless he refuses to refund money.

this is not right

it's a buy and sell forum and not an auction site.

How can u people ask me to close the issue ?

because the seller realized that he had under-quoted the price to you, since the price was too good your friend made all the efforts to get it asap however before the seller shipped it he realized it + he waited for your transfer + he got a better deal locally + no hassle shipping etc bleh bleh..... hence he changed his mind... don't worry he will transfer Rs. 10 extra for the transfer fee that your friend might have paid to the banks :P

I aint taking any sides here, just my honest opinion

Seller once he agreed to sell at 'X' amount and sent his payment details to the buyer, he should honor that

If he has any issues after sending payment details before the payment is made, he should communicate to the buyer by calling/PM and ask him to hold/stop payment

Once the buyer pays, then ethically/technically, its his product, a seller should not refrain from the deal no matter what, unless its a mutual consent.

NEFT will take atleast one day to reflect on the other account, if its two different banks

Rockfella - thats uncalled for, the buyer here is not looking for any service charges, he would have gone though a lot of hassle for that NEFT/deposit, only he would know personally

whatever be it, its not a buyers fault at all, in this case

certainly not good. but if hes ready to refund the amount just be happy with it. and never deal with him again:)

I myself have come across same situation and deposited cash into buyers accnt since it was cash it was credited instantly, hell i even rang him to confirm be4 payment and after payment but then within an hour he got some oher buyer and he decided to let it to him/her. I think it was a soundcard.
 
OP still hasn't given me his account details to refund the money.

The payment was indeed made today, and not yesterday like the OP claims. The OP said he had the NEFT scheduled in the morning at around 10 am yesterday. I've received payment via State Bank Group transfer. So please post the screen shot in case you've made the transfer yesterday. Even if not, PM me ur account details, will return ur money.
Copied from the State Bank Site-> State Bank Group transactions will be processed immediately under settlement time. There is no minimum transaction amount for State Bank Group transactions.
 
Then y did u ask U me to pay today ?

I don't have the screen shot of the neft

transfer was made cause my friend had gone personally to the bank
 
but sathya.. why cant u ship it to him.. shipping a PSP isn't that difficult... just make sure that packing is good... and use good courier companies like TNT or DTDC Plus

don't spoil ur TE reputation just for 500 bucks
 
Well in my opinion, if seller has made the deal outside TE before the money reflected in his account...then it's ok...but if he completed the deal after receiving money in his account then certainly it's not ethical...
