Well update -> the proccy i got from him conked out, had the RMA done. Warranty given to me as per bill Jan 2010. I sold off the New proccy which came after RMA. I am unable to use the TX3 cooler cos it is not giving efficient cooling for me. Nor am i able to sell it at even 750 bux cos it doesnt have the Intel clips / bracket etc. SO we can treat this issue as closed and just pray that ppl like bhullar boys get what is due to them:)

ip range seems to be same ?
bhullar boys - The IP Address is: 117.199.83.148
The host name is: 117.199.83.148

Jassi - The IP Address is: 117.199.84.77
The host name is: 117.199.84.77

Any confirmation if Jassi is the fradulent member Bhullar Boys/...etc?

This chap was selling the TX3 on another forum I am in too. I think people there deserve the right to know.

just compare the pics posted by him on both the threads, compare the handwriting , etc. When asked if he is Bhullar Boys, he has the gumption to ask Who bhullar boys. I request if you see him on any other forum, please warn there too.

I request the mods to look at this member , Compare the pics posted by him on the tx2 thread and the pics posted by Bhullar boys. The Hand writing looks similar, so do the quality of pics. I had asked Jassi if he was bhullar boys, he hasnt denied it nor confirmed it. I 100% feel Jassi = bhullar Boys. Can the mods verify and ban him ?
Has there been any progress in your case against Bhullar boys ?

Specifically whether the way you handled it has any merit for the future should a similar case arise.

There is no progress in the case. and i have left it too as explained earlier. the proccy i got from him conked out, I got the rma done and warranty was as per the invoice dated in Jan, and not as per the 3-4 mnths 'old proccy' as claimed by ^%&^%*&$^%#@%$ bhullar boys/. Only the tx 3 remains. which i am selling off too. i guess the 1k loss i took in this i ll treat as given to a shameless beggar called &*%O%(*&*& boys

I must have missed it but thx for stating it.

This bit you explained but i wanted to clarify whether you had just changed your mind or not.

Yeah, this is the important bit and I wonder if in some ways whether it has implications for online trading and its future in this country.

See, so long as the trader is honest and has a reputation to maintain you can expect good service. If they are willing to accept a return on the simple basis that you are not satisfied and do a full refund.

Nothing to do with whether the product itself is faulty or not just that you're not happy. The claims of in a shop they usually do not do this and only give store credit does not apply. Because you cannot see the product and feel it in your hands to begin with. So in the online case a vendor has to go further.

Because it would appear that the legal avenues are not reliable enough to deter fraudulent behaviour :(

I'm not asking for laws to be toughened or even know whether that's relevant, i was just hoping we would arrive at a point, one day where buying something online would be as simple as anything else.

Caveat emptor is the often quoted mantra here, but did not feel it applied in your case.

This guy has struck again - this time @ OLX. I got an PM from a member here , seems he was cheated by our dear bhullar boys. Seems some people never change

[h=2]Help me Bro ![/h] Bro this user with ID Bhullar Boys has done a fraud with me 2 days back. he listed MSI 5850 on Olx.in and we agreed to have the deal fixed in 5k , however when i deposited the money through NEFT to his PNB account , i found out that he is no longer replying and has done with me , i am in terrible loss my friend, can you help me in any way to recover the money from this person, i would deeply appreciated that.

@chetansha

This is no longer a warranty period dispute ,
It is outright fraud , ask the guy to report to the police . Today he is cheating people for 5k , tomorrow will do so for 50k and what not .

I have asked @shivam2004 to file a complain in police. I have told him to go thru this thread so he can get his address and other details.

bhullar boys or not , if you are buying computer products from olx and other sites without hardly knowing the person and/or the condition of the product in some other city , you are just asking for trouble

I absolutely agree with kippu.
which sounds too good to be true.
stay away from it.

and when you know it,why do same mistake again?

Thanks @chetansha , I Got hold of one of his friends and i Gave him a thorough warning and threatning to file a complaint in police in case he disagrees to refund back, now i am awaiting a reply and probably i think i would get my money back from his hands. He was convinced that i am giving a genuine threat and i know people in his area.

AFIK warnings wont work with him. Wait for 2 days and yet nothing happens, do not delay in filing a police complain.
